The durability of the sealing materials used for this type of waterproofing is significantly shorter than that of general exterior wall slabs, so no matter how durable and waterproof the exterior wall slab is, the waterproof performance of the exterior wall is limited by the seal. It is determined by the performance of the material. In addition, the durability of the oldest existing one is thought to be around 15 years, and those predicted by tests are expected to last around 20 to 25 years, which is longer than the durability of architectural exterior wall slabs. It is much shorter.

Conventional waterproofing methods for exterior wall panels include one that uses a single layer of sealant and one that uses double sealing material.More recently, the outside of the double seal is made into an open joint using a decompressed space, and the seal is There are some that can only be used on the inside. It goes without saying that if this sealing material is used only on the inside, the durability will be greatly improved as it will be less exposed to direct wind and rain, but the outside air will freely enter through the open joints on the front and seal the interior. In order to reach this level, there remains a problem with the lack of insulation at the joints. Therefore, if the seal does not have sufficient heat insulation properties, condensation in this area will become unavoidable.

The present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned circumstances, and an object of the present invention is to provide a completely new open-type vertical joint waterproof structure that does not require maintenance and has excellent durability in an exterior wall slab.

Figure 1 shows an open waterproof structure viewed from above at the vertical joints of two adjacent precast concrete (hereinafter abbreviated as PC) exterior wall slabs 1 and 2.
The vertical joint end faces of PC external wall slabs 1 and 2 are shown in the second diagram showing the vertical joint end face of PC external wall slab 2 in detail.
As can be seen from the figure and FIG. 3, it consists of a vertical groove 3 provided in the longitudinal direction of the end face, and a plurality of lateral grooves 4 that are continuous with this vertical groove and slope downward toward the vertical groove. It has a comb-shaped first groove and a large second groove 5 that forms a depressurized space and into which a brush 6 made of an air permeable elastic material is inserted. The first groove 5 is provided on the outer side of the PC exterior wall plate, that is, the side exposed to wind and rain, and the second groove 5 is provided on the inner side. The brush 6 inserted into the space formed by the opposing second grooves 5 has a core material 7 located on the longitudinal center line of the space and a slope downward toward the core material 7. radially extending bristles 8. This brush 6 is made of synthetic fiber with high weather resistance, and the core material 7 is made of stainless steel.
It is preferable to use twisted wires made of corrosion-resistant metal such as copper. The brush 6 is supported by friction with the end face of the PC wall plate due to the elasticity of the bristles 8 of the brush 6, or by physical suspension from the top.

Next, the principle of rainwater drainage in the vertical joints of this open waterproof structure will be explained.

First, of the rainwater that enters the vertical joints,
As shown by arrows A or C in the figure, raindrops that enter the vertical joint opening from an oblique direction hit the end surface where the first groove is formed, and then travel along the sloped horizontal groove 4 to form the vertical groove. 3, falls along the vertical groove 3, and is drained.

On the other hand, raindrops traveling straight toward the vertical joint opening, as indicated by arrow B in FIG. 1, rush into the second space and directly hit the brush. Even if the first space is filled with water due to capillary action, the second space is rapidly expanding, so the pressure is rapidly reduced and the water is trapped by the bristles 8 of the brush 6. As a result, it falls along the brush and is drained away.

Generally, when rainwater flows down the end surface of the PC exterior wall slab, it is possible that the rainwater may enter from the vertical joints to the horizontal joints or run around to the back side of the PC exterior wall slab. This fear is also eliminated by the brush 6, which has many bristles in contact with the brush 6.

Rainwater guided downward by the vertical groove 3 and the brush 6 is collected and drained by an appropriate drainage means such as a drainage ditch provided directly below the PC wall slab. Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 3, by configuring the lower end of the PC outer wall slab to have a downward slope toward the outside surface, it is possible to make it even more difficult for rainwater to enter the back surface of the wall slab.

According to the present invention, without using a sealant as a waterproofing means for the vertical joints of the external wall, grooves are provided on the end surfaces of the vertical joints of the external wall, and a highly durable brush is used in combination. , maintenance such as cleaning, replacing, and repairing the joint material is unnecessary or extremely easy.
Also, by using brushes, if the density of the brushes is high, air will be stored there.
It has the effect of heat insulation and heat retention, while remaining breathable, allowing water vapor to pass through and preventing dew condensation. Therefore, according to the present invention, it is possible to obtain an open waterproof structure for the vertical joints of an external wall plate in which the functions of heat insulation, ventilation, and waterproofing of the vertical joints are semi-permanently secured.
