生じる。またキヤビネツト正面では、キヤビネツ
ト寸法に比べて波長が短かくなるほど回折の影響
も大きくなる。この回折による悪影響はキヤビネ
ツトを球形とすることにより最小となることがよ
く知られているが、球形キヤビネツトは製造が容
易でないこと、及び設置が困難なため一般に使用
するための商品としては適当な形状ではない。ま
た球面バツフルによる音波の反射が平面バツフル
での反射のごとく一方向とはならずに発散するた
め正面音圧が低下する欠点を有する。

となり、スピーカー用キヤビネツト全体としての
外観はバツフル板と左右側板とが半径Rの曲面で
滑らかに連続した形状をなしているので、音波を
前方に反射する十分なバツフル面積を有しなが
ら、キヤビネツト回折の悪影響を除去して第5図
に実線で示した如く優れた周波数特性を得るのに
有効なスピーカー用キヤビネツトとすることがで
きるものである。
