本考案は一括補水のための液口栓を備えた蓄電

従来のこの種の蓄電池の液口栓は電解液の液面
位に応動して浮遊するフロート体のフロート部に
フロート支持部を介して一体となつた開閉部で電
解液面にほぼ水平の面方向の壁に設けた補水口を
開閉させる方式が採用されていた。しかしこの方
式では補水口が電解液面に対してほぼ水平の壁に
設けられているため補水管より栓本体を経て補水
口から蓄電池に流入する補水液がフロート部の上
面を叩き、フロート体が上下運動をして規定液面
位で補水液を止水することが困難であると云う欠
点を有していた。しかも開閉部に加わる水圧がフ
ロート部の浮力に逆う方向に働くため止水が充分

種の蓄電池の液口栓では、フロート体を電解液面
位の全域にわたつて応動させようとすれば、すな
わち例えばフロート体に電解液面位指示部を設け
た場合などでは、フロート体が電解液面位の全域
にわたつて応動させるために、補水口開閉部が前
記範囲において自由に変動できる長い補水口を必
要とし、補水口開閉部もいきおい大きなものが必
要となり、このため該補水口開閉部が補水の圧力
により壁に強く押圧され、フロート体のスムーズ

液2に浸漬されるごとく収納されている。また該
電槽1上面には液口栓3がパツキン4を介して螺
着されている。該液口栓3は栓本体5とフロート
体6と補水口開閉体7とを備えている。すなわち
栓本体5は例えばAS樹脂のような透明樹脂から
なり、蓄電池外部からの補水液を供給する補水管
8と一体化されており、また長円形の補水口9が
設けられた電解液2の液面に対しほぼ直角の面方
向の壁10を有する補水室11を備えている。フ
ロート体6は合成樹脂または発泡性材料あるいは
この両者を組み合わせて作られており、電解液面
位に応動するフロート部12、該フロート部12
より上方に延び、栓本体5とは遊貫状態に配され
るフロート支持部13、該フロート支持部13の
途中に設けられた突出部14およびフロート支持
部13上端の栓本体5内に突出する電解液面位指
示部15を備えている。また補水口開閉体7はフ
ロート体6のフロート支持部13に遊嵌される連
動部16と補水口9に配される開閉部17とを有
しており、該連動部16は電解液2の液面位が規
定液面位近くになり、フロート体6が上昇してそ
の突出部14に当たるようになると、該フロート
体6の運動に連動するようになり、これより開閉
部17が補水口9を閉塞する方向に動き、ついに
は補水口9を閉塞することになり、補水が停止す
る。また補水が終了し、開閉部17に加えられて
いた水圧を解除すれば、ふたたび補水口開閉体7
およびフロート体6はスムーズに動くこととな
る。なおフロート支持部13上端の電解液面位指
示部15の位置を栓本体9を通して観測すること
により補水の必要性や補水の完了を知ることがで
