In order to securely fix the seat portion to the backrest, some conventional chairs have a concave and convex portion formed continuously in the vertical direction on the back surface of the backrest, and the stopper engages with this concave portion. However, this is quite complicated because the seat cannot be moved up or down unless the engagement state is completely released. Further, although there are some practical advantages to providing the uneven portions, the appearance may be unsightly in terms of design.

That is, the present invention is an inclined frame body 1 which has a circular cross-sectional outline and is made into a slightly flattened shape by being pressed from the front and back directions, and a main body 3 fixed to both ends of the inside of the frame body 1 to form a gap 2. A guide rod 6 fixed to the seat 5 to be fixed at an arbitrary position on the base 4 and penetrating from the surface to the back of the gap 2, and a guide rod 6 fixed to the guide rod 6 and attached to the front and back sides of the base 4. This relates to a chair in which a seat part consisting of an elastic stopper 7 which can be contacted with each of the seats can be freely raised or lowered.

As shown in FIG. 3, the frame 1 is made by pressing a metal tube with a circular cross section to some extent from each side in the front and rear directions, and the cross section is slightly flat in the middle between the front half and the rear half of the frame 1.
Both sides of this are shaped like an annular ring.

The main body 3 is fixed to both ends of the frame 1 with gaps 2 formed therein, but the most desirable structure of the main body 3 is as shown in the figure, in the middle of the front half and the rear half of the cross section, similar to the frame 1. It is made of an annular metal tube that is slightly flat and rounded at both ends, but in addition, even though the whole is a plate, both ends, that is, the part adjacent to the frame 1, are rounded. If the radius is the same as the inside of the frame 1, the seat can be moved up and down relatively easily. A strong elastic stopper 7 having a circular or nearly circular cross section is fixed to a guide rod 6 which penetrates the gap 2 and is fixed to the seat 5.

In the present invention, as shown in FIG. 3, the base body 4 is in a line contact state where the stopper 7 is in contact with a slightly flat part, so a considerable friction coefficient can be obtained, and such contact state occurs at four locations. Not only does this prevent the seat 5 from falling down naturally, but it also prevents the seat from shifting slightly when your feet touch the seat, which often happens when you sit down. Since the amount of contact is large, you can avoid getting injured if the seat falls, and you can sit down with peace of mind. Furthermore, in this invention, since the distance between the rounded part of the frame 1 or the main body 3 and the stopper is short, the stopper 7 can easily or quickly come into contact with the rounded part of the frame 1 or the main body 3, as shown in FIG. It's becoming possible. Therefore, even if, for example, a lightweight person sits on the seat, there is a large amount of contact between the stopper 7 and the base 4, so that it is possible to prevent the seat from falling for some reason. In addition, in this structure, since the rounded portion falls within the permissible elasticity range of the stopper 7, the cushioning effect is large and the sitting comfort is the best.

Next, when adjusting the height of the seat, the seat is rotated in the reverse direction as shown in Fig. 2 to release the contact between the stopper 7 and the base 4, and the vertical movement is performed. Even if the stopper 7 comes into contact with the base body 4, this contact area is only a part of the intermediate portion of the front half or the rear half of the base body, so there is no serious problem in operation.

As stated above, this invention is a practically excellent invention that solves the disadvantages of simple chairs without impairing the vertical movement of the seat or impairing the appearance.
