Conventionally, earthquake-proof buildings built to avoid ground vibrations that occur as a result of pollution in the UK and elsewhere have used rubber bearings with relatively low vertical rigidity. This rubber bearing is interposed between the upper building and the lower foundation to provide vibration isolation from vertical vibrations in the ground.

However, since rubber bearings have very low not only horizontal rigidity but also vertical rigidity, when an earthquake occurs, the upper building will be displaced horizontally, and the rubber bearings around the building will expand and contract, resulting in a large rocking displacement (in the direction of collapse) as a whole. displacement). Therefore, such building vibration isolation construction methods cannot be adopted as they are in earthquake-prone countries like Japan.

This idea was devised to solve the above-mentioned problems. It is possible to avoid the vertical vibration of the ground, suppress the rocking displacement of the building, and reduce the relative relationship between the building and the ground caused by an earthquake. It is an object of the present invention to provide a locking stopper that does not prevent horizontal displacement from being absorbed by a rubber bearing.

A certain clearance c is ensured between the other pressure receiving plate 1 and the fixed plate 6. A cylindrical spacer rubber 7 is provided in a protruding manner on the fixed plate 6 in correspondence with the engagement recess 4 of the pressure receiving plate 1. The height of the spacer rubber 7 is higher than the depth of the engagement recess 4, and when the spacer rubber 7 is fitted into the engagement recess 4, a clearance c is formed between the pressure receiving plate 1 and the fixed plate 6.

When the rocking stopper A is installed between the rafts, it is set so that a certain clearance c is created between the fixed plate 6 and the pressure receiving plate 1, so that the vertical support rubber mounting 8 Even if expansion and contraction occur due to temperature changes or creep,
Due to the fluid nature of the solid viscoelastic material 3, the clearance c remains constant.

In addition, since the vertical rigidity of the spacer rubber 7 is relatively negligible compared to the vertical rigidity of the vertical support rubber mounting 8, the locking stopper A has no effect on the vertical rigidity of the upper building B within the range of the clearance c. The vertical vibration of the ground due to pollution is absorbed by this clearance c, and the rocking stopper A does not affect the vibration isolation effect against the vertical vibration of the ground.

On the other hand, the upper building B is resistant to earthquake horizontal force due to the combination of the horizontal rigidity of the vertical support rubber mounting 8, the horizontal rigidity of the horizontal support rubber mounting 9, and the horizontal elastic-plastic characteristics of the hysteretic damper 10. On the other hand, the response of building B can be set to be optimal. As the rocking displacement of Building B is suppressed to a minimum by the rocking stopper A as described above, the vibration mode of Building B is almost exclusively horizontal translational vibration, making it immune to horizontal ground vibrations caused by earthquakes. A seismic effect can be obtained.

At this time, since the solid lubricants 5a and 5a of the solid lubricant layer 5 of the locking stopper A slide against each other,
The rocking stopper A does not affect the horizontal stiffness (horizontal natural frequency) of the upper building B,
It does not interfere with the seismic isolation effect.

[Effects of the invention] This invention has the above-mentioned configuration and uses a viscoelastic material, so it is possible to minimize the rocking displacement of a seismically isolated building due to an earthquake. Since a certain level of clearance is secured, the vibration isolation effect against vertical vibrations in the ground caused by pollution will not be hindered. Furthermore, since a solid lubricant layer is provided, the seismic isolation effect in the horizontal direction is not hindered.
