(Field of the Invention) This invention produces a rhythmic chord by rhythmically opening and closing chords specified by pressed keys on an accompaniment keyboard, and also selects a tone for the sounding range of each chord component note of this rhythmic chord. The present invention relates to an automatic accompaniment device for an electronic musical instrument that is restricted according to the name of the musical instrument. (Background of the Invention) Conventionally, in electronic musical instruments, by pressing keys on an accompaniment keyboard, musical instrument sounds such as strings are produced in accordance with the pressed keys, and the pressed keys are rhythmically opened and closed with tones of piano, guitar, etc. Such automatic accompaniment devices are well known. By the way, in the case of an automatic accompaniment device for such an electronic musical instrument, it is desirable for strings and other sounds to be produced exactly as the keys are pressed, but on the other hand, when a tone such as a guitar is selected for rhythmic opening and closing, the sounds are not produced exactly as the keys are pressed. It is not desirable to do so. In other words, when actually playing chords on a guitar, in most cases the chords are played in the range of G2 to C4 shown in Figure 1, so conventional automatic performance devices for electronic musical instruments that rhythmically open and close chords according to the keys pressed are However, there are cases where accompaniment is performed in a range different from that of the actual instrument, and this situation has the disadvantage of being impractical and undesirable musically. (Object of the Invention) In view of the above-mentioned problems with the conventional type, the object of the present invention is to limit the key data within a certain range of rhythms in the key press data of accompaniment keys in an automatic accompaniment device for an electronic musical instrument. Based on this idea, it is an object of the present invention to provide an automatic performance device for an electronic musical instrument that is more realistic and musically preferable. (Structure of the Invention) In order to achieve the above object, the present invention is characterized by providing a range limiting circuit that limits the range of accompaniment key data from the key press detection circuit to within a predetermined range. Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the accompanying drawings. (Explanation of the overall configuration of the embodiment) In FIG. 2, the upper keyboard (UK) 11 is for playing melody, and the lower keyboard (LK) 12 is for playing. In the case of a single-stage keyboard, the keyboard can be divided into key ranges, with the upper key range used for melody performance and the lower key range used for accompaniment. The pressed key detection circuit 13 detects the pressed state of each of the upper keyboard 11 and the lower keyboard 12, and outputs one or more pieces of melody key data UKC and accompaniment key data LKC depending on the pressed key.
Output. These key data UKC and LKC are composed of a total of 7 bits, including 4-bit note codes N1-N4 indicating note names and 3-bit octave codes B1-B3 indicating pitch range. Also, for these key data UKC and LKC, whether this key data is melody key data UKC or accompaniment key data LKC.
A keyboard signal U or L is attached to indicate whether the Table 1 shows examples of note codes N1 to N4 in relation to pitch names. Table 1 Note name N4 N3 N2 N1 C# 0 0 0 1 D 0 0 1 0 D# 0 0 1 1 E 0 1 0 1 F 0 1 1 0 F# 0 1 1 1 G 1 0 0 1 G# 1 0 1 0 A 1 0 1 1 A# 1 1 0 1 B 1 1 1 0 C 1 1 1 1 An example of octave chords B1 to B3 is shown in a table based on the relationship with the range, as shown in Table 2. become.

In addition, in the so-called single finger mode in which a chord is specified by pressing the key representing the root note on the lower keyboard 12 alone or in combination with the key representing the root note and other white keys and black keys,
The pressed key detection circuit 13 outputs a plurality of key data representing each constituent note of the chord specified by the pressed key.
One or more key data UKC and LKC output from the key press detection circuit 13 are supplied to a channel processor 14. The channel processor 14 uses the above key data.
Each of UKC and LKC is assigned to one of the multiple time-sharing musical tone forming channels formed in this electronic musical instrument. This channel processor 1
For example, a channel processor as disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 54-28614 or other known sound allocating circuit can be used as the sound generation section 4. The UK sound forming circuit 15 generates sounds corresponding to one or more pieces of melody key data UKC indicating the sounds of pressed keys on the upper keyboard 11 outputted from the pressed key detection circuit 13 and supplied via the channel processor 14. When set to high, a musical tone of the tone selected by the UK tone tone color switch 16 is formed, and a melody tone signal is generated by acoustically mixing these musical tones. This melody sound signal is produced via a sound system 19 including an amplifier 17 and a speaker 18. The LK tone forming circuit 20 generates an LK tone tone color switch based on one or more pieces of accompaniment tone key data LKC, which is output from the key press detection circuit 13 in response to a key press on the lower keyboard 12 and supplied via the channel processor 14. In step 21, a lower keyboard sound signal of the selected tone is formed. This lower keyboard sound signal is also produced via the sound system 19 together with the melody sound signal. The LK key data memory 22 stores accompaniment tone key data, generally a plurality of chord constituent tone key data, which is supplied from the channel processor 14 when a memory select switch 23 consisting of a knee lever or a foot switch is operated (closed).
LKC is stored and this stored key data LKC' is output. This key data LKC' is composed of note codes and octave codes similar to those shown in Tables 1 and 2 above. Tempo oscillator 24 is comprised of a variable frequency oscillator and supplies an oscillation output, ie, tempo clock TCL, to pattern data generator 25. The pattern data generator 25 is a tempo clock.
Rhythm pattern data RP for controlling the type of percussion instruments that make up the rhythm sound and the sounding timing, chord pattern data CT for controlling the opening and closing of rhythmic chord sounds, that is, the sounding timing, at a tempo that follows the TCL cycle, automatic Outputs accompaniment pattern data consisting of bass pattern data BT, etc. for controlling the sound generation timing of the bass note and the bass development at that time. The range limiting circuit 26 operates when a guitar tone is selected by the rhythmic chord tone tone switch 27.
It is determined whether each of the chord constituent note key data LKC' supplied from the LK key data memory 22 is in a predetermined range, and the key data LKC' outside the range is shifted in octave units. The input key data LKC' may be output as is as key data LKC'' when an instrument other than the guitar is selected with the switch 27. The output of the data LKC'' may be prohibited. The rhythmic chord tone forming circuit 28 generates a tone by the rhythmic chord tone tone switch 27 at a pitch corresponding to each of the key data LKC'' from the range limiting circuit 26. A musical tone of the selected tone is formed, and a chord signal formed by acoustically mixing these musical tones is rhythmically opened and closed at the timing of the chord pattern data CT from the pattern generator 25 and output as a rhythmic chord tone signal. do. The chord detection circuit 31 is connected to the LK key data memory 2.
The root note and chord name (major, minor, seventh, etc.) of the chord expressed by multiple key data LKC' from 2 are detected, and the root note data RT and chord name data are detected.
Output CN. The base note key data forming circuit 32 receives the root note data RT from the chord detection circuit 31 from the circuit 31.
The pitch (1
degree, third degree, fifth degree, etc.) base sound key data BKC
is formed and output at the timing of the base pattern data BT from the pattern data generator 25. The bass sound forming circuit 33 forms a bass sound signal according to the bass sound key data BKC from the bass sound key data forming circuit 32. The bass tone timbre switch 34 is for selecting the tone of the bass tone formed by the bass tone forming circuit 33. The rhythm sound source 35 forms a percussion instrument sound signal based on the rhythm pattern data RP sent from the pattern data generator 25 for each type of percussion instrument. These rhythmic chord sound signals, bass sound signals, and percussion instrument sound signals are acoustically mixed with the melody sound signal from the UK sound formation circuit 15 and the lower keyboard sound signal from the LK sound formation circuit 20, and then sent via the sound system 19. is pronounced. (Detailed Operational Description of Range Limiting Circuit 24) Next, detailed operation of the range limiting circuit 26 will be described with reference to FIG. This circuit 26 is connected to the pitch name detection circuit 5
1. Octave detection circuit 52, reference octave data memory 53, octave down control circuit 54
and a selector 55, etc., and the note code NC of the note represented by each chord constituent tone key data LKC' from the LK key data memory 22 (Fig. 2), that is, the note name, remains unchanged from 1 C# to F#. All names are in the 4th octave (OC'' = 100), 2 G to C notes are in the 3rd octave (OC'' = 011) if they are below C3, and otherwise in the 4th octave (OC' = 100). The chord constituent tone key data LKC'' is formed by adding an octave code OC'' determined according to the conditions to the note code NC and outputs it. As a result, the key data LKC'' is shifted into the range G2 to C4 that is normally used for chording on the guitar. The key data LKC' supplied from the LK key data memory 22 (Fig. 2) is the note code NC and the octave chord. Divided into 0C and note code
NC is supplied to the note name detection circuit 51, and the key data is also supplied to the output terminal of this range restriction circuit 26.
The octave code 0C is supplied to the B input terminal of the octave detection circuit 52 and the selector 55.The note name detection circuit 51 inspects the note code NC and detects this note code. When NC indicates a tone of G to C, it outputs “1”.Key press detection circuit 13 (second
), each note name has a code as shown in Table 1.
When NC is assigned, the note name detection circuit 51 only needs to output the most significant bit N4 of the note code NC as is. The octave detection circuit 52 detects key data.
The octave code OC of LKC' is checked to see if the note indicated by this key data LKC' is below C3, and if the pitch is below C3, it is set as "1".
Output. That is, when the octave code OC is determined as shown in Table 2, the most significant bit B3 may be inverted and output. The AND circuit 56 operates when the outputs of both the pitch name detection circuit 51 and the octave detection circuit 52 are "1", that is, the pitch name of the key data LKC' is G to C and the octave code OC is below the third octave. It generates an output “1” when The reference octave data memory 53 outputs OC'=100, which indicates the fourth octave, and supplies it to the octave down control circuit 54. The octave down control circuit 54 controls the reference octave data memory 53 when the level of the control terminal C is "0".
Outputs the same octave code OC''=100 as the octave code 0C' supplied from the octave code OC''=100, and when the level of the control terminal C is "1", the octave code OC''= indicates the third octave, which is one octave lower than the octave code OC'. Outputs 011. In other words, if the pitch indicated by key data LKC' is below C3 and the note name is G to C, octave code OC'' will output 011 indicating the third octave, otherwise output 100 indicating the fourth octave. When the guitar is selected by the rhythmic chord tone switch 27 (Fig. 2), the selector 55 applies "1" to the selection input SA, and selects the octave chord OC of the input A, that is, according to the above-mentioned conditions. outputs an octave code to control the sound range. On the other hand, when a tone other than the guitar is selected, the selection input SA becomes "0", and this level is "0".
The selection input is inverted by the inverter 57 and applied.
SB becomes “1”. Therefore, input terminal B is selected and output. The octave code of this input terminal B is the same as that of key data LKC',
Therefore, when a tone other than guitar is selected, the range control circuit 26 outputs the input key data LKC'' as it is. (Effects of the Invention) As described above, according to the present invention, rhythmic chord sounds are produced in the same range as that of an actual musical instrument, making it possible to perform realistic and musically suitable performances.
