[Prior Art] A soluble potassium silicate fertilizer is a fertilizer characterized in that the silicic acid and potassium contained in it are not dissolved in water but are dissolved by citric acid secreted from the roots of plants, such as pulverized charcoal. A technology is known in which the dust in the exhaust gas generated by combustion, so-called flyash, is mixed with a potassium source and then fired (for example, Japanese Patent Publication No. 57-52857, Japanese Patent Publication No. 59-7671).
However, in the case of the conventional production method of soluble potassium silicate fertilizer using fly ashes, a relatively large amount of thermal energy is required for firing, and the usable potassium sources are generally easily decomposed caustic potassium or potassium carbonate. Furthermore, there were problems in that the amount of gas generated was large, the cost of exhaust gas treatment increased, and the process was complicated, requiring relatively complicated equipment.

A technique for producing a soluble potash fertilizer from potash grass is described in, for example, Japanese Patent Application Laid-open No. 75069/1983. However, all of the known techniques require high temperatures of 800 to 1100°C to produce soluble potassium fertilizers, and require rapid cooling, which consumes a large amount of thermal energy.

[Object of the Invention] Therefore, the object of the present invention is to save heat energy, which accounts for a relatively large proportion of manufacturing costs, and to
In addition, inexpensive potassium sources such as potassium chloride and potassium sulfate, which are difficult to decompose, can be used, the amount of gas generated is small and exhaust gas treatment is easy, and the process is simple and does not require the complicated equipment of conventional methods. The present invention provides a method for producing potassium silicate fertilizer.

When using potassium chloride as a potash source, oxygen is required for decomposition, so steam or oxygen (or air) should be blown in at the same time as potassium chloride is added, and potassium sulfate should be used as a potash source. In some cases, oxygen is not required for decomposition, but carbon is introduced to aid decomposition.

When introducing potassium chloride or potassium sulfate, it is advantageous to blow into the bottom of the slag using air or oxygen as a carrier, since this produces a stirring effect. In addition, if carbon powder corresponding to the amount of oxygen is blown in at the same time, the amount of heat can be supplemented.

The simplest method is to inject carbon powder with oxygen or air as a carrier, but there is a limit to the amount of gas relative to the amount of slag, and the amount of heat may be insufficient if only the carbon powder is injected. For this purpose, the slag container is made into an induction furnace and heated by electric induction, or a burner is installed on the ceiling of the container to heat it by radiation.
