It is then manufactured by heating and melting the intermediate pole post 5 inserted into one end of the recess 4 while supplementing lead as necessary with a burner, etc., and welding each pole plate lug 3 together. Ru. However, conventionally, the angle θ between the strap 6 and the intermediate pole 5 formed as shown in the second figure is 90 degrees, and the protrusion 7 provided on the intermediate pole 5 allows the electrode plate group 2 to be connected to the cells of the battery case 8. Room 9
When storing the plate group 2 inside the cell, it gets caught on the partition wall 10 and cannot be stored easily, so the electrode plate group 2 must be pushed out to some extent by the flexible partition wall 10 or the intermediate pole column 5 may be pushed down a little towards the inside of the cell chamber. was pushed into cell room 9. For this reason, the workability is poor, and when the intermediate pole column 5 is pushed down when stored and returned to its original state when welding with the adjacent opposing intermediate pole column, a great deal of stress is applied to the lower part of the intermediate pole column, resulting in mechanical damage. There were drawbacks such as the risk of weakening.

It tends to fall to the side (in the direction of arrow A), which impairs the workability of forming the strap.

In a method for forming a strap including an intermediate pole post in which the ears are welded together with the intermediate pole post in the recess to form the strap, the angle between the intermediate pole post and the formed strap is
The second invention is characterized in that the upright plate-like body of the intermediate pole column is inserted into the recess at an angle of less than 90 degrees and welded to the pole plate ear, and the second invention is used for forming the strap. The present invention is characterized in that the intermediate pole pillar is formed integrally with a pedestal having an inclined surface on the bottom thereof.

As shown in the fourth figure, the intermediate pole column 20 has a protrusion 21 on the side surface of a plate-like body 27, and the plate-like body 27 is implanted at the side end of the upper surface of the pedestal 22. The pedestal 22 has a bottom surface 23 formed as an inclined surface so that it is thicker on the side where the plate-like body 27 is installed and becomes thinner as the distance from the plate-like body 27 increases. For example, the pedestal 22 has a thickness A of 3 mm on the side of the plate-like body 27, a thickness B of the other thin end of the pedestal 22 of 2 mm, and a length L.
is formed to 9mm. When the intermediate pole column 20 formed in this way is inserted and placed in one end of the recess 4 of the comb-like jig 1, a plate-like body 27 is formed as shown in the fifth figure.
is arranged so as to be inclined with respect to the bottom surface of the recess of the jig so as to cover the pedestal 22, so that it is placed in a well-balanced manner and does not fall over as in the conventional case. Then, the plurality of same-polarity electrode plate lugs 25 of the electrode plate group 24 housed in the recess 4 and the intermediate pole post 20 are connected to each other through the penetration groove formed on the bottom surface of the recess 4 of the jig 1. They are heated with a burner while supplementing with lead and welded together to form a strap with an intermediate pole post 20.
The formed strap 26 has an angle θ of 90 with respect to the plate-shaped body 27 of the inclined intermediate pole column 20 as shown in FIG.
For example, it is about 83.5 degrees. Therefore, when the electrode plate group 24 is stored in the cell chamber 9 of the battery case 8, the protrusion 21 of the intermediate pole column 20 only slightly touches the partition wall 10, so that the electrode plate group 24 can be stored without any practical problem. It is. Incidentally, if the lower part of the protrusion 21 of the intermediate pole column 20 is rounded as shown in FIG. 7, the storage operation will be made easier.

のである。 Then, the electrode plate group 24 housed in the cell chamber 9 raises the inclined intermediate pole column 20 to stand upright, and the partition wall 10
The electrode plates are inserted through a hole drilled into a recess formed in an intermediate pole column of a group of electrode plates housed in an adjacent cell chamber, and are fused and joined to each other by resistance welding or the like.

得る。 Note that the method of arranging the plate-shaped body of the intermediate pole pillar in the recess at an angle is not limited to the method shown in the above embodiment, and for example, the plate-shaped body tilted at an angle of less than 90 degrees is placed on a conventional pedestal with a horizontal lower surface. The plate-shaped body may be implanted by casting in one piece so that when it is placed in the recess of the jig, the plate-like body will be inclined. Alternatively, an inclined surface may be formed at one end of the bottom of the recess of the jig, and the inclined surface may be formed. Various methods can be adopted, such as arranging a pedestal on the plate so that the plate-like body is inclined.
