Conventionally, a cable body 3 consisting of a plurality of flat conductors 2 sandwiched between strip-shaped insulating materials 1 has been used for carpet underlay wiring as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2. This cable body 3 needs to be provided with a lower protective sheet 5 made of metal or resin in order to prevent protrusions protruding from the floor 4 on which it is laid from penetrating the insulating material 1 of the cable body 3 and exposing the conductor 2. There is. In addition, it was necessary to provide a metallic top protection sheet 6 to protect the cable from sharp obstacles that would penetrate the top carpet, penetrate the insulator 1 of the cable body 3, and come into contact with the conductor 2. Figure 2 shows the state in which a conventional flat cable is wired.Since the width of the bottom protection sheet 5 is narrower than that of the top protection sheet 6, chlorine (sea sand) is generated from the concrete through the gap A. The problem was that the top protective sheet 6 would corrode due to the intrusion of water vapor and water vapor.

An embodiment of the present invention is shown in FIGS. 3 and 4. A cable main body 10 has a plurality of flat conductors 12 sandwiched between a band-shaped insulating material 11. The material of the lower surface protection sheet 13 is selected depending on the finished state of the floor surface 14 on which it is to be laid, and if the floor surface 14 is particularly uneven, a metal material is used, but usually a resin material is used. be done. Top protection sheet 15
is formed to have the same width as the cable main body 10 or a wider width, and is formed to have a narrower width than the lower surface protection sheet 13. A lower protection sheet 13, a cable main body 10, and an upper protection sheet 15 are stacked in order upward from the floor 14.
Both end portions of are attached to the floor surface 14 with tapes 16. A cross-sectional view is shown in FIG. 4, and since the lower protection sheet 13 is wider than the upper protection sheet 15, chlorine and moisture generated from within the concrete of the floor 14 are absorbed into the cable body 10 and It will no longer get into the upper surface protection sheet 15. or,
Holes 1 are formed intermittently in the longitudinal direction of the top protection sheet 15.
7 and also holes 18 are formed in the insulator of the cable body 10, so that any chlorine or moisture that may have entered will evaporate through the holes.

According to the flat cable of this invention, the width of the bottom protection sheet is made wider than the top protection sheet, and both ends of the sheet are attached to the floor surface with tape, so that chlorine and moisture generated from concrete can be absorbed. It can prevent intrusion, and even if it does get in, it will pass through the holes in the top protection sheet and the cable body and evaporate, so if it is installed on the floor for a long time, the top protection sheet will not corrode. This has the effect of suppressing this to a minimum.
