In a typical flat cable wiring system, as shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, a metal upper protective sheet 2 and a lower protective sheet 3 are arranged on the upper and lower surfaces of a flat cable 1. A flat cable 1 consists of three parallel strip-shaped flat conductors 4 connected to an insulator 5.
It is coated with Each conductor 4 is attached to the insulator 5.
Elongated holes 6 are provided at a constant pitch in between and on both side edges. The top protective sheet 2 is also provided with one row of elongated holes 7 of the same pitch and size as the flat cable 1, and a grounding connector piece 8 is inserted through both elongated holes 6,7. The connector piece 8 is a plate piece bent into a V-shape, and ring-shaped electrical connection protrusions 9 are punched out on the inner surfaces of both opposing pieces, and a tongue-shaped cut protrusion 10 is also formed. Then, the upper protective sheet 2 and the flat cable 1 are sandwiched using a special tool. As a result, the electrical connection protrusion 9 breaks through the insulator 5 of the flat cable 1 and comes into contact with the central conductor 4, which serves as the ground wire, electrically connecting the conductor 4 and the top protection sheet 2. The mechanical connection protrusions 10 on both opposing parts of the connector piece 8 penetrate the flat cable 1 and the upper protective sheet 2 and engage with each other, thereby preventing the two opposing parts of the connector piece 8 from opening.

However, when attempting to connect the top protective sheet 2, which has a certain length, to the grounding conductor 4 of the flat cable 1, due to manufacturing errors and differences in the materials of the two, it is necessary to use long holes of the same pitch and size. 6,7
In this case, it is impossible for all the long holes 6 and 7 to coincide with each other, and there is a problem that the connector piece 8 cannot be inserted into the long holes 6 and 7 of the top protection sheet 2 and the flat cable 1.

The flat cable wiring system of this invention is
The length of the elongated holes provided in the top protection sheet is the sum of the length of two elongated holes in the flat cable and the distance between the elongated holes. The distance between the long holes in the top protection sheet shall be equal to the distance between the long holes in the flat cable.

By setting the length of the elongated hole in this way,
When the top protection sheet is placed over the flat cable, the entire elongated hole of the flat cable must fall within the length of the elongated hole of the top protection sheet.

An embodiment of this invention is shown in FIGS. 4 and 5. That is, in this flat cable wiring system, the length A of the elongated hole 7' of the top protective sheet 2' is
The length B is the sum of the two long holes 6 of the flat cable 1 and the distance between the long holes 6, and the distance between the long holes 7' of the top protection sheet 2' is equal to the distance between the long holes 7' of the flat cable 1. The distance between the elongated holes 6 is equal to the distance between the elongated holes 6. Since the rest is the same as the example shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, the same parts are given the same reference numerals and the explanation thereof will be omitted.

By setting the lengths of the elongated holes 6 and 7' in this way, when the top protection sheet 2' is stacked on top of the flat cable 1, the entire elongated hole 6 of the flat cable 1 is always covered by the top protection sheet. 2' enters within the length of the elongated hole 7'. Therefore, the ground connector piece 8
can be inserted at any position on the flat cable 1.
