[Industrial Application Field] The present invention relates to a glyoxal deodorant suitable for use in deodorizing malodorous substances such as active nitrogen compounds and active sulfur compounds. [Prior Art] Among various malodorous substances, glyoxal has the property of chemically reacting with active nitrogen compounds such as ammonia and amines, and active sulfur compounds such as hydrogen sulfide and mercaptans to convert them into odorless compounds. Utilizing this property, glyoxal deodorants are widely used as deodorants for industrial and household use. [Problems to be solved by the invention] However, since glyoxal-based deodorants are non-volatile, if the glyoxal-based deodorant is exposed to the wind or left naturally, the moisture in the glyoxal-based deodorant liquid will be released. When only evaporated and concentrated to 80% by weight or more, it became a gel-like polyglyoxal, which significantly reduced the deodorizing effect. For this reason, despite the fact that glyoxal is recognized as having a high deodorizing power, its use as a deodorizing agent is limited to using spray methods, bubbling, scrubbers, and other devices in its liquid state. impregnated bases (felt, sponge, paper,
It is not suitable for applications where the effect must be maintained stably over a long period of time as a deodorizer installed in a deodorizing filter (refrigerators, cars, trays, hospital rooms, lockers, etc.) by impregnating it into porous materials, etc. Ta. In order to solve this problem, attempts have been made to suppress the evaporation of water by mixing an aqueous calcium chloride solution, but the deodorizing effect still remains insufficient. Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a glyoxal deodorant that is effective and has long-term deodorizing ability. The present invention is characterized in that the glyoxal-based deodorizing liquid always maintains a constant concentration or impregnated base material ((felt,
This research focused on the fact that when a sponge, paper, or porous material is impregnated with a glyoxal-based deodorant, its deodorizing ability is maintained for a long period of time if the surface is kept constantly moist. It is something. [Means for Solving the Problems] The present invention is a deodorant characterized by blending calcium chloride, ethylene glycol, and water into a glyoxal-based deodorant liquid. More specifically, in the present invention, the component weight of calcium chloride is 60 to 100 parts and the component weight of ethylene glycol is 60 to 100 parts with respect to 100 parts of glyoxal component weight of the glyoxal-based deodorant liquid, depending on the deodorizing purpose. Range of 35-65 parts, water component weight 100-250
The amount to be added is determined so that the amount falls within the range of 1.5 parts. In other words, the amount of calcium chloride is changed depending on the humidity and temperature of the place of use, and in general, the amount of calcium chloride is increased in low temperature or low humidity conditions, and the amount is decreased in high temperature or high humidity conditions. Then it is good. Similar effects can also be obtained by using aqueous PVA (polyvinyl alcohol) or cellulose instead of ethylene glycol. (Function) In the present invention, since calcium chloride as a moisture absorbent is blended into the glyoxal deodorizing liquid,
Evaporation of water in the glyoxal deodorizing liquid is suppressed, and an increase in glyoxal concentration due to water evaporation is suppressed. In addition, in the present invention, since ethylene glycol is further blended into the glyoxal deodorizing liquid containing calcium chloride, the deodorizing ability of glyoxal is effectively brought out over a long period of time in synergy with the action of calcium chloride. This is presumed to be because ethylene glycol acts as a type of surfactant, increases the mobility of glyoxal in the deodorizing liquid, and unreacted glyoxal is always actively supplied to the reaction surface of malodorous substances. (Effects of the Invention) In the present invention, by blending calcium chloride, ethylene glycol, and water with glyoxal, the evaporation of water in the deodorizing liquid is suppressed, and the reactivity of glyoxal is activated. In addition, when this deodorizing liquid is impregnated into an impregnating agent, ethylene glycol acts as a moderate viscosity agent while maintaining an effective reaction state between glyoxal and malodorous substances. prevent leakage. Therefore, according to the present invention, the deodorizing power of glyoxal can be brought out effectively and over a long period of time. As is clear from the Examples and Comparative Examples described later, in the Examples of the present invention, the duration of the deodorizing effect is several times longer than that of the conventional one. Therefore, the deodorizing liquid of the present invention is used in deodorizing filters and stationary deodorants that require long-term (several months) sustained effects. [Example] Examples and comparative examples of the present invention are shown below. For every 100 parts of the glyoxal component in the glyoxal-based deodorant liquid, the component weights of calcium chloride and ethylene glycol are 25 to 100 parts, 20
Decide on a blending amount that suits your purpose within the range of ~100 parts. For example, 40 g of glyoxal, 30 g of calcium chloride, 20 g and 90 g of ethylene glycol shown in Table 1
Deodorant liquid A as an example, deodorant liquid B as a comparative example in which ethylene glycol is not blended in the amount shown in Table 1, deodorant liquid C in which calcium chloride and ethylene glycol are not blended, and water D to 4 cm. Cubic cellulose sponges were impregnated with 35 g each, left in the refrigerator, and weight changes over time were measured to determine the amount of water loss. The measurement results are shown in Table-2. Incidentally, the subscripts attached to A, B, C, and D mean different samples of deodorizing liquids having the same mixing ratio.

[Table] The surface of the sponge impregnated with deodorant liquids A and B remains wet even after 6 months, while the surface of the sponge impregnated with deodorant liquid C and water D remains dry. The deodorizing liquid A according to the present invention shows good results in suppressing water evaporation. In addition, 20 g each of deodorant liquids A, B, and C in the amounts shown in Table 1 were impregnated into a filter made up of 55 (10 x 15 x 1) (mm) paper tubes, and the motor and Chassis with fan (fan capacity 0.75/
min) A filter impregnated with deodorizing liquid is stored inside, and 50ppm of ammonia and hydrogen sulfide are released from the inlet.
Gas with a concentration of 20 ppm was circulated inside the casing, and the remaining ammonia and hydrogen sulfide concentrations were detected using a Kitagawa detection tube at a distance of 10 cm from the outlet. Table 3 shows the results of measuring changes over time.
