The present invention has calcium solubility (calcium resistance)
The present invention relates to a good surfactant composition. In recent years, pollution of rivers and lakes has become a problem, and eutrophication of water, which is one of the causes of pollution, has become a focus worldwide. Various measures have been taken to prevent this eutrophication, one of which has focused on phosphates in detergent builders, and there have been efforts to reduce the use of phosphates. In addition, some places have even banned their use, especially in closed water systems. However, calcium in phosphates such as sodium tripolyphosphate has an excellent ability to sequester metal ions such as magnesium, and prevents the formation of water-insoluble anionic surfactants such as calcium and magnesium salts. ,
It has the effect of preventing yellowing and graying of clothing and the formation of soap scum. In addition, it has a great ability to emulsify and disperse dirt, and exhibits excellent effects in preventing re-contamination, so at present no builder has been developed that can replace phosphates. In view of these points, the present inventors have developed calcium solubility, recontamination prevention properties, and
As a result of intensive research aimed at obtaining a surfactant composition with excellent detergency in hard water, a specific polyoxyethylene-based nonionic surfactant was blended with a long-chain alkylbenzene sulfonate in a predetermined ratio. The present invention was completed based on the discovery that a surfactant composition has excellent properties. The present invention is characterized in that the weight ratio of an average of 10 to 130 moles of ethylene oxide adduct of a secondary alcohol having 8 to 20 carbon atoms and a long-chain alkylbenzene sulfonate is in the range of 1:3 to 3:1. This is a surfactant composition with good calcium solubility. As the ethylene oxide adduct with an average amount of 10 to 130 moles of a secondary alcohol having 8 to 20 carbon atoms that can be used in the present invention, a secondary alcohol obtained by liquid phase air oxidation of n-paraffin can be added to a secondary alcohol obtained by a conventional method. A secondary alcohol ethoxylate having 8 to 20 carbon atoms obtained by adding ethylene oxide is used. On the other hand, long-chain alkylbenzene sulfonates include sodium salts, potassium salts, ammonium salts, alkanolamine salts, and monoethanolamine salts of long-chain alkylbenzene sulfonic acids having a linear or branched alkyl group having 8 to 22 carbon atoms. , diethanolamine salt, triethanolamine salt, calcium salt, and magnesium salt. Also, the average of secondary alcohols with 8 to 20 carbon atoms
The ratio of 10 to 130 moles of ethylene oxide adduct and long-chain alkylbenzene sulfonate is 1:3 to 3:1 by weight, and if this ratio is exceeded, the effect decreases and is not preferred. The amount used in the surfactant composition is appropriately selected depending on the purpose, but it is preferably 0.01 to 5% by weight at the time of use. A major advantage of the present invention is that, as mentioned above, calcium solubility is extremely good, so calcium contained in water is not affected by magnesium, that is, by the hardness of water, so it is not affected by magnesium, unlike phosphates. The point is that the composition can have a builder effect by itself without using a builder that promotes eutrophication of lakes and marshes. Therefore, for example, when the present invention is used as a detergent for clothing, a pollution-free detergent that does not contain phosphates can be produced regardless of whether it is used as a powder detergent or a liquid detergent. Furthermore, as calcium solubilizes water-insoluble salts such as magnesium compounds, it is possible to prevent these compounds from adhering to fibers and prevent yellowing and graying of clothing. A further characteristic feature is that it not only maintains its cleaning power regardless of the hardness of the water, but also has the effect of preventing dirt from adhering to clothing from re-adhering to fibers. Although the present invention has many features as described above,
The present invention can be used not only for clothing but also in cases where the production of water-insoluble compounds such as calcium compounds and magnesium compounds is disadvantageous. Examples of these include use for the purpose of preventing scum from adhering to bathtubs and wash basins,
It can be used as a scale inhibitor for boilers, etc. Of course, when carrying out the present invention, other compounds may be used without departing from the scope of the present invention, such as surfactants other than those used in the present invention, organic and inorganic compounds as builders, solubilizers, fragrances, colorants, etc. It goes without saying that it can be used by adding. Next, the effects of the present invention will be specifically explained below with reference to examples. The calcium solubility (calcium resistance) of a surfactant composition consisting of a long-chain alkylbenzene sulfonate and an average of 10 to 130 moles of ethylene oxide adduct of a secondary alcohol having 8 to 20 carbon atoms was investigated. The method for measuring calcium solubility is to use a long-chain alkylbenzene sulfonate with a carbon number of 8 to 20.
An aqueous solution of CaCl2 is added dropwise to 25g of an aqueous solution each containing 0.2% by weight of an average of 10 to 130 moles of ethylene oxide adducts of secondary alcohols, and the amount of CaCl2 until it becomes cloudy is converted to the amount of CaCO3 . It was used as a measure of calcium solubility. Note that the CaCl 2 aqueous solution and water were alternately dropped so that the final liquid volume was 50 gr, so that the final concentration of the surfactant was 0.1% by weight. Further, the time for dropping the CaCl 2 aqueous solution and water was approximately 10 minutes. In addition, the number of alkyl carbons in the long-chain alkylbenzene sulfonate (hereinafter referred to as LAS) is
Using Na (sodium) salt of LAS of 12, and an average of 10 to 130 moles of ethylene oxide adduct of secondary alcohol having 8 to 20 carbon atoms,
-14 secondary alcohol ethoxylates (trade name: Softanol, manufactured by Nippon Shokubai Kagaku Kogyo Co., Ltd.) were used, and polyethylene glycol having no alkyl group was used as a comparative example. Here, calcium solubility is derived from the following formula. Calcium solubility = CaCO 3 (mg) / (Na salt of LAS + polyoxyethylene nonionic surfactant) (g) These results indicate that the composition according to the present invention provides a composition with extremely excellent calcium solubility. It shows that. Examples 1 to 4 Table 1 was prepared using the surfactant composition shown in Table 1.
The results shown are obtained. Comparative Examples 1 to 2 The results shown in Table 1 were obtained using the LAS Na salt and surfactant composition shown in Table 1.
