ち、頭髪に作用するホルモンはテストステロンと
いう男性ホルモンであり、このテストステロンは
図面に示すように皮脂腺Aおよび毛包部Bに存在
する還元作用を有する酵素5α―リダクターゼに
より5α―ジヒドロテストステロン(以下5α―
DHTと称する)に変化する。この5α―DHTは
毛包部Aにおいて細胞分裂を抑制する機能を有
し、この部位における禿を生成する。
