装置において、前記ドライブシヤフトと前記像担
持体との間にドライブシヤフトの一方向の回転力
のみを伝達する継手を介在させ、該継手を介しド
ライブシヤフトの駆動力を前記像担持体に伝達さ
せるようにしたことを特徴とする画像形成装置の
像担持体駆動装置。 (2) 前記継手は、前記ドライブシヤフトの一端
に配設された突起と、前記像担持体の側面に形成
され、前記ドライブシヤフトが回転した際に前記
突起と係合する穴からなり、該穴は前記ドライブ
シヤフトを中心として対称に形成された一対の扇
形の凹部であることを特徴とする実用新案登録請
求の範囲第(1)項記載の画像形成装置の像担持体
