Claims (1)

繰り出されることによつて昇降するように構成さ
れたアーク炉における電極昇降用マストに付設さ
れて、その電極昇降用マストの落下を防止する装
置において、前記電動機の回転数を検出する回転
数検出装置と、前記マストの降下速度を検出する
速度検出装置と、前記マストの側方に配置された
固定ブロツクと、その固定ブロツクと前記マスト
の間に打ち込まれるクサビと、そのクサビを打ち
込むためのクサビ駆動装置と、そのクサビ駆動装
置を制御する制御装置とを具備してなり、前記制
御装置は、前記回転数検出装置によつて検出され
た電動機の回転数から前記マストの降下速度を演
算するとともに、その演算結果と前記速度検出装
置によつて検出されたマストの降下速度とを比較
して、それらの値に差が生じたときに前記クサビ
駆動装置を作動させて前記クサビを打ち込むよう
に構成されていることを特徴とするアーク炉にお
