Claims (1)
に圧接回転する加熱ローラと加圧ローラとの間を
搬送させて前記未定着トナー像の定着を行う定着
装置において、前記加熱ローラと前記加圧ローラ
との圧接位置から該加熱ローラ回転方向の下流側
に該加熱ローラに当接して回転するクリーニング
ローラと、該クリーニングローラの回転軸を軸支
する軸受部材と、該軸受部材を固着するクリーニ
ングローラ取付板とからなるクリーニングローラ
ユニツトを設け、前記クリーニングローラ取付板
を前記定着装置のケーシングにヒンジ結合するこ
とによつて、前記クリーニングローラユニツトを
前記定着装置のケーシングに対して回動開閉自在
に作動させることが可能であるように構成したこ
とを特徴とする定着装置。 (2) 前記クリーニングローラユニツトの開放状
転写材を、互いに圧接回転するヒータ等の熱源を
内設した加熱ローラとこれに圧接する加圧ローラ
とによつて挾持させ搬送させて、加熱ローラの加
圧、加熱によつてトナーを溶融して転写材上に熱
定着させるものである。 一般の加熱ローラ方式の定着装置では、上側に
加熱ローラが位置する。該加熱ローラはパイプ状
の金属ローラの内部にヒータ等の加熱手段を有し
ている。この加熱ローラに圧接する加圧ローラは
芯金の周面に例えばシリコンゴム等を巻付けて成
形される。加熱ローラは加熱手段によつて表面温
度が200℃近辺に保持され、動力によつて一方
向に回転する。一方加圧ローラは、転写材の定着
を行う間は転写材の背後から加熱ローラに圧着し
、従動回転を行うようになつている。そして転写
材は定着装置を通過する間にトナー像が融着し定
