In a gas sensor in which two elements, a gas detection element that reacts with combustible gas and a temperature compensation element for correcting characteristic fluctuations due to changes in ambient temperature of the gas detection element, are housed and used as a pair in the same housing. A gas sensor characterized in that a gas detection element and a temperature compensation element are mounted on a common base, and a common terminal is provided in which a heat shield plate interposed between the two elements is integrated.
