【考案の詳細な説明】 本案は椅子の背凭板高さ調節装置に関し、更に
詳しくは椅子背凭杆の上端に取付けられ前後方向
に回動可能となして着座者の背中に密着するよう
になした背凭板を高さ調節可能となして着座者の
背中に自然に無理なく当接させ得るようになすこ
とを目的とするものである。

板7の上端部に連結される動作レバー8の組合せ
によつて構成され、動作レバー8の操作によつて
動作板7を昇降杆4内において下降させること
で、常時バネ9によつて調節部材5に係合する方
向に付勢されている係止部材6を動作板7に形成
した案内孔10の案内によつて当該調節部材5か
ら外して、該動作板7並びに昇降杆4を一体に昇
降可能となし、背凭板3を所望高さに設定した後
動作レバー8の操作を解除すれば係止部材6はバ
ネ9の弾力によつて自動的に調節部材5に係合し
て背凭板3を所望高さ位置に固定することができ
るのである。

に調節部材5との係合状態に保持され、しかもバ
ネ9の弾力によつてこの保持状態を更に付勢して
いるのである。このように本案では背凭板3を所
定高さに保つ為の係止部材6と調節部材5の係
合、解放を単にバネ9による弾力付勢とその解除
で行うものでなく、動作板7の案内孔10による
係止部材6の下部突軸15の案内、並びに規制に
よつて行うものであるから動作を確実になし得る
のである。又、上記した案内孔10は第4図に示
すように上部外端10′と下部内端10″間を弯曲
孔形状となすだけでなく、斜直線状の孔形状とな
しても動作に支障を来たすことはない。

に上下動可能に外嵌した状態で取付片22と昇降
杆4の連結用の軸23にネジ26を用いて締着し
て取付けられる。尚、図中27は調節部材5を支
持部材2に連結する為の止軸であり、動作板7に
形成された切起し片17は第3図に示すように2
枚の動作板7の対向する切起し片17を接合させ
て両切起し片17にバネ9の上端部を嵌合させて
利用することでバネ止め効果とバネ9による両動
作板7の一体化を行うものである。

孔10の上部外端10′と下部内端10″によつて
係止部材6の下部突軸15を保持規制して係止部
材6の調節部材5との係合、若しくは解放状態を
保持することができ、特に下部突軸15を案内孔
10の下部内端10″に保持させた場合には係止
部材6を調節部材5に凹凸面11,12の噛合に
よつて係合させた状態で保持することから外力等
の衝撃等によつて係止部材6が調節部材5との係
合から不本意に解除されるという心配が全くない
のである。
