Claims

An elevating opening/closing window in which an opening provided through the upper part of a wall of a building is closed by raising a shoji and opened by lowering the shoji into a space in a waist wall below the opening. In the opening/closing device, a drive shaft that is rotated by an electric motor is supported on the waist wall in the space of the waist wall, and one of an external gear and an internal gear that mesh with each other is connected to the drive shaft. The other gear is fixed concentrically to the waist wall, and the other gear is fitted concentrically and freely rotatably to an eccentric shaft portion integrally formed with the drive shaft, and integrally projects from the other gear. A driving link and a driven link whose base end is slidably fitted into a horizontal guide fixed to the waist wall are pivotally supported at the intersection point, and at least one of the ends of the links is connected to the shoji.
