原稿を読取ることができる原稿読取装置であつて
、原稿読取領域に近接する所定位置において読み
取られた画像データに基いて各主走査毎のシエー
デイング補正を行う手段と、前記所定位置と該所
定位置から退避した位置との間を往復移動自在に
支持された一定濃度面を有したシエーデイング補
正板とを備え、 前記シエーデイング補正板は反射原稿読取時は
前記所定位置に位置し、透過原稿読取時には該所
定位置から退避して該所定位置を透過する透過光
を読取り可能にしたことを特徴とする反射透過両
用原稿読取装置。 (2) 前記シエーデイング補正板の進入、退避の
ための動作は、透過原稿読取用光源を搭載した装
置の着脱に応じて行われることを特徴とする実用
新案登録請求の範囲第1項記載の反射透過両用原
稿読取装置。 (3) 前記シエーデイング補正板の進入、退避の
ための動作は、透過原稿或は反射原稿の何れの読
取モードであるかを選択する手段による選択に基
