Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野] 本発明は、水−グリコール型作動液に関し、詳しくは耐
摩耗性が高く、スラッジ溶解性に優れた水−グリコール
型作動液に関する。
〔従来の技術及び発明が解決しようとする課題〕−FI
Qに、水−グリコール型作動液は難燃性であるため、油
圧機器等の各種の作動液として広く使用されているが、
耐摩耗性が不充分であるという問題があった。これを解
決するために、この水−グリコール型作動液に脂肪酸を
配合することが知られている。例えば特公昭62−59
159号公報には、高級不飽和脂肪酸と高級飽和脂肪酸
とを併用し、これに中和当量以上の水酸化アルカリを配
合することによって、耐摩耗性を向上させた水−グリコ
ール型作動液を調製することが記載されている。
しかしながら、このように高級不飽和脂肪酸を添加して
耐摩耗性を向上させた水−グリコール型作動液は、使用
中に高級不飽和脂肪酸が変質しやすく、その結果スラッ
ジ溶解性が低下して固体骨が析出することがあった。
〔課題を解決するための手段〕
そこで、本発明者は、脂肪酸を含有させて耐摩耗性を向
上させるとともに、その変質を防止してスラッジ溶解性
にも優れた水−グリコール型作動液を開発すべく鋭意研
究を重ねた。その結果、水グリコール型作動液に、高級
脂肪酸と共に特定のアルカリ成分等を一定量加えること
により、所期の目的を達成できることを見出した。本発
明はかかる知見に基いて完成したものである。
すなわち本発明は、水とグリコールとを含有する水−グ
リコール型作動液において、高級脂肪酸を2〜15重量
%の割合で含有し、かつ該高級脂肪酸の当量未満の水酸
化アルカリと、全体のpHを10〜12に調整するに足
る量の窒素原子含有有機アルカリ化合物を含有すること
を特徴とする水−グリコール型作動液を提供するもので
ある。
本発明の主体である水−グリコール液としては、従来か
ら一般的に採用されている配合のものを用いることがで
きる。例えば、水30〜70重量%。
グリコール70〜30重量%からなるもの、さらに所望
により、作動液の粘度を調整するだめの粘度調整剤を、
前記水とグリコールの合計100重量部に対して、5〜
60重量部程度含有させたものを用いることができる。
上記グリコールとしては、例えばモノエチレングリコー
ル、ジエチレングリコール、トリエチレングリコール、
モノプロピレングリコール、ジプロピレングリコール、
トリプロピレングリコール。
モノヘキシレングリコール、ジプロピレングリコール、
トリへキシレングリコール等を挙げることができ、これ
らを単独であるいは混合して用いるとかできる0通常は
モノあるいはジプロピレングリコールを用いることが好
ましい。
また粘度調整剤としては、通常はエチレンオキサイド(
EO)とプロピレンオキサイド(P O)  との共重
合体が用いられる。この共重合体の平均分子量は、50
00〜20000程度が適当であり、さらにEOとPO
の比率が10:1〜1:10(モル比)程度のものが好
適である。
上記の如く調製された水−グリコール液に加えられる高
級脂肪酸は、従来から用いられているように、炭素数1
0〜22程度のものであれば、飽和脂肪酸、不飽和脂肪
酸、直鎖脂肪酸1分岐脂肪酸など、各種のものを単独で
あるいは混合して使用することができる。このうち、消
泡性や溶解度等の面から炭素数12〜18の飽和脂肪酸
を用いることが好ましい。この高級脂肪酸の配合量は、
全体の2〜15重量%、好ましくは5〜12重量%が適
当である。2重世%未満では、得られる作動液の耐摩耗
性が不足し、15重量%を超えると、水−グリコール液
への溶解性が悪くなり、高級脂肪酸自身が析出するおそ
れがある。
また水酸化アルカリとしては、アルカリ金属の水酸化物
、具体的には、水酸化カリウム、水酸化ナトリウム、水
酸化リチウム等を挙げることができる。この水酸化アル
カリの配合量は、上記高級脂肪酸の当量未満、特に高級
脂肪酸に対するモル比が0.95〜0.995となるよ
うに調整することが好ましい。配合量が少ないと耐摩耗
性が不足しスラッジの溶解性も悪化する。当量以上に加
えたときも同様である。
本発明では、上述の各成分と共に、窒素原子含有有機ア
ルカリ化合物を加えるが、その配合量は系全体のpHを
10〜12に調節するに足る量とすればよい。この系全
体のpHを10〜12に調節するに足る量は、各種状況
により異なり、一義的には決定できないが、−iには系
全体の0.5〜5重景%とすればよい。
ここで、系全体のpHが10未満であるとスラッジ溶解
性が悪化し、また9Hが12を赳えると耐摩耗性が低下
して好ましくない。このpH調整用に配合される窒素原
子含有有機アルカリ化合物としては、各種のものもを使
用することができるが、例えば、モルホリン、シクロヘ
キシルアミン。
ジシクロヘキシルアミン。ジメチルエタノールアミン、
ジエチルエタノールアミン等を挙げることができ、特に
モルホリン、シクロヘキシルアミンを用いることが好ま
しい。
さらに上記の如く各成分を含有する本発明の水グリコー
ル型作動液には、必要に応じて、各種の添加剤、例えば
金属不活性化剤、消泡剤2着色剤、その他の各種成分を
加えることができる。これらの添加剤の添加量は、従来
とほぼ同様とすることができるが、通常は全体で0.1
〜0.5重量%程度とするのが適当である。ここで上記
金属不活性剤の具体例としては、ベンゾトリアゾール。
メチルベンゾトリアゾール、メルカプトベンゾチアゾー
ル、ベンゾチアゾール、エチレンジアミン四酢酸(ED
TA)、EDTAニナトリウム塩。
EDTA4ナトリウム塩等を挙げることできるが、通常
はベンゾトリアゾールを用いることが好ましい。
〔実施例〕
次に、本発明を実施例および比較例によりさらに詳しく
説明する。
実施例1〜9及び比較例1〜4 次表に示すように、高級脂肪酸としてラウリン酸、オレ
イン酸、イソステアリン酸を、水酸化アルカリとして純
度86.0重量%の水酸化カリウムを、窒素原子含有有
機アルカリ化合物としてモルホリンを、グリコールとし
てプロピレングリコール、ジプロピレングリコールを、
また粘度調整剤として前述のEO−PO共重合体(EO
: PO=4:11分子量約15000)を、さらに各
種の添加剤として金属不活性剤、消泡剤9着色剤を用意
し、それぞれを表に示す重量%で水に配合して水−グリ
コール型作動液を調製した。
次いで、それぞれについてASTM D  2251に
準拠してポンプテストを行い、その性能を評価した。ポ
ンプにはV−104C型を用い、運転条件は、圧力を7
0kg/d、温度を50″C1回転数を1200rpa
+、運転時間を250時間とした。
また作動液としての評価は、ポンプのベーンとカムリン
グの摩耗量の合計、浮遊物(スラッジ)発生の有無、液
の外観、透明性、泡立ち性(JISK2231に準拠)
にて行った。液の外観は透明及び浮遊物が観察されなか
ったものを「O」とし、浮遊物が多少認められるものを
「Δ」、浮遊物が多量に発生したものを「×」として表
示した。尚、pHは、モルホリンで調整を行ったものの
みを表示する。
〔発明の効果〕
以上説明したように、本発明の水−グリコール型作動液
は、耐摩耗性に優れるとともに、スラッジ溶解性にも優
れている。さらに長時間使用した後の液の外観も良好で
あって、また、泡立ちも少ない。
したがって、本発明の水−グリコール型作動液によれば
、ポンプ本体の各部品やフィルター等の交換期間を延長
することができ、またスラッジ溶解性に優れていること
から、固体成分の析出による機器の作動不良も防止する
ことができる。

Claims (3)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. (1)水とグリコールとを含有する水−グリコール型作
    動液において、高級脂肪酸を2〜1.5重量%の割合で
    含有し、かつ該高級脂肪酸の当量未満の水酸化アルカリ
    と、全体のpHを10〜12に調整するに足る量の窒素
    原子含有有機アルカリ化合物を含有することを特徴とす
    る水−グリコール型作動液。
  2. (2)平均分子量5000〜20000のエチレンオキ
    サイド−プロピレンオキサイド共重合体を含有する請求
    項1記載の水−グリコール型作動液。
  3. (3)水酸化アルカリと高級脂肪酸の配合比が、前者:
    後者=0.95〜0.995:1(モル比)である請求
    項1記載の水−グリコール型作動液。
