Abstract

PURPOSE:To efficiently perform a centralized process for paying principals and interests of public bonds and corporate debentures by classifying coupons at every paying place based on brand information and summing the content of each coupon accumulated in an accumulating means at every classified division, and then, collating the summed results with classified total slips. CONSTITUTION:Each coupon is classified at every paying place by means of a classifying means 6 based on the brand information of coupons read by a reading means 2 and recognized by a recognizing means 3. A collating means 8 sums the content of each coupon at every classified division and collates the summed results with classified total slips. Therefore, each coupon can be processed simultaneously without making any manual works in a state where plural brands of coupons are mixed. Thus the centralized process for paying principals and interests of public bonds and corporate debentures can be performed efficiently.

(Function) In the optical character reading device of the first invention, based on the brand information of the coupons read by the reading means and recognized by the recognition means, each coupon is journalized by the journalizing means for each payment place,
After this, the matching means totals the contents of each coupon for each journalized category and compares the tally results with the tally sheet, so when multiple stocks are mixed, each coupon is manually journalized. It is possible to process the principal and interest payments of public and corporate bonds at the same time without having to do so, and the centralized administrative processing of principal and interest payments for public and corporate bonds can be carried out efficiently.
