Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 （産業上の利用分野） 本発明は、吸収用製品に関し、更に詳しくは、会陰部に
使用する吸収用のパッドに関する。これは、特に体液の
分布の改善を可能にする構造を有する女性用保護パッド
に関する。
（従来技術および発明が解決しようとする課題）本発明
は、衛生ナプキンまたは夜尿症用品のような吸収用製品
に関し、これは吸収体、使用時使用者の最も近くに位置
する体液浸透層及び吸収体の反対側即ち裏側に位置する
体液不浸透層によっ了構成されている。
衛生ナプキンを使用する場合、ナプキンには通常パッド
の使用者によって利用されるよりもはるかに大きな吸収
能力が備わっているという問題があった。月経による体
液は、バンドの縦方向の中間部に分布される傾向がある
。更に、パッドの中間部に於ける体液はパッドの下部の
吸収部よりもパッドの上部に存在する傾向がある。この
ように体液がパッドの中間部に集中すると、着用者が動
くことによってパッドが変形する場合、体液がパッドの
端部からリークするといった不完全さに起因する支障が
生じる。
かかる問題を解決するため、−層密接に体の形状に追従
するような衛生ナプキンを製作したり、必要性の最も高
い場所に最大の吸収力を持たせた衛生ナプキンを製作す
る等の試みが行われている。
しかし、このようなパッドでも側部からのリークは尚相
当大きな問題である。更に、月経による体液が、吸収材
の下部から後部ではなく、その上部または体の側に集中
するため、パッドの吸収能力が完全に使用されないこと
も、問題として残っている。従来の衛生パッド及び夜尿
症用パッドの別の問題は、もし体液がパッドに急速に加
えられると、パッドは十分な速さで体液を吸収すること
ができず、体液がバンドの側部で流れ出ることである。
ホルトマンの米国特許第４，３３３，４６２では、体液
を受入れ、これを吸収するために中央部に液溜めを有す
るパッドが提案されている。チエスキー他の米国特許第
４，０２９．ＬＯＬは、体液がパッドの中央部に入るこ
とを可能にする解放された縦方向の中央の溝を有するパ
ッドを開示している。チエスキー他の特許では、またパ
ッドにパッド中で横方向に物質をはじく長い防止材を設
けてもよいことが開示されている。
パッドの中で利用可能な吸収材を一層有効に使用するパ
ッドに対する必要性がある。更に、滲出液をパッドに引
き渡す正確な配置を提供するために曲げや捩じれに一層
よく耐えるパッドに対する必要性がある。また、もしパ
ッドが捩じれた場合、側部からのリークを防止するパッ
ドに対する必要性がある。
本発明の目的は、人体からの滲出液を吸収するために従
来のバンドの欠点を解消することである。
本発明の他の目的は、ひた寄せや捩じれを少なくするパ
ッドを提供することである。
本発明の更に他の目的は、側部からのリークを少なくし
た女性用パッドを提供することである。
本発明の更に他の目的は、吸収材を有効に使用した女性
用パッドを提供することである。
（課題を解決するための手段） これら及びその他の目的を達成するためのパッドの基本
構成は、浸透性カバーと、不浸透性裏当て部材と、それ
らの間の吸収材である。このパッドには、更に浸透性部
材と吸収材の間で吸収材の表面の少なくとも一部に位置
する体液移動すなわち体液移転構造が設けられ、これは
、吸収材を通って下方に延び、かつ不浸透性裏当て部材
と吸収材の間に延びている。体液移動部材は、体液をは
じくが、しかしこの体液を体液移転部材からより親水性
の大きい脱脂綿のような吸収材に容易に移動することを
可能にする少なくとも若干の親水性成分を含み、この親
水性の大きい吸収材は体液を含有貯溜するものである。
望ましい体液移転部材は、ポリプロピレンと混合された
レーヨンまたは錦のカーディング処理されたウェブまた
はパルプを含むメルトブロー・ポリプロピレンのカーデ
ィング処理されたウェブで形成することができる。
（実施例） 本発明のパッドは、人体からの滲出液の吸収用の従来の
パッド、特に月経用に使用されるパッドに対して多くの
利点を有している。本発明のパッドは、パッドを介して
月経による体液を移動させるから、体液はパッド自身の
中に捕捉され、着用者の動きによって絞り出される可能
性のある表面近くには存在しない。本発明のパッドは、
また従来のパッドで一般的にそうであるように、汚損が
表面にまで広がらないから、より清潔な外観を与える。
本発明のパッドは、また側部からのリークがより少なく
、特にパッドによって大量の体液が吸収される前にはリ
ークがより少ない。体液は、リークを引き起こすパッド

パッドの中央部または下側に移動させられる。これら及

ッド１２にはｆｆ１１１離片２４が設けられている。こ
の剥離片２４は使用者の下着にパッドを取りつける前に
をり外される。
第４図は、第１図に於けるパッド１２の線４−４による
断面図である。パッド１２にはカバー１４及び側部１６
．１８と裏当て２０を形成する不浸透性部材１５が設け
られている。剥離片２４は衣類に取り付けるための接着
剤２６を覆っている。ナプキン１２の内部は、吸収材２
８及び３０によって形成されている。体液移動構造３１
及び３２は同一また類似の材料によって形成されている
。吸収材３１及び３２を合わせて考えると、これはＩビ
ーム型の断面を形成する。最善の性能を発揮するには、
吸収材３１と３２は、体液の移動を行うため接触してい
なければならない。構造３１及び３２を形成する材料は
急速に体液を吸収し、それをパッド１２全体に移動させ
る。しかし、体液移動構造３１及び３２は容易に体液を
吸収材２８及び３０に供給する。構造３１は、吸収材２
８及び３０の上に位置する表面部３４によって構成され
ている。これには更にパ・ノド１２の上部から底部に体
液の移動を行う吸収材２８と３０の間の中央部材３６が
設けられている。部材３１は、パッドの表面で体液を集
め、これをバンドの中央部を介して底部体液移動部材３
２及び貯溜部材２８及び３０に移動させる。カバ一部材
１４は、領域３８及び４０において不浸透性部材１５に
接着によって接合されている。または、パッドは、浸透
性部材によって包まれ底部でシールされてもよい。第１
図のパッド１２の線５−５による断面を示す第５図にあ
るように、体液移動部材３１及び３２は、パッドの長手
方向全体の長さに延びているのではなく長平方向の長さ
の中心部の２分の１ないし３分の２をカバーしているも
のである。
第６図は、本発明の別の実施例のパッドの断面図である
。第６図の実施例において、パッド４６には、パッド全
体を包み接着による接続部５０で重なっている浸透性の
カバー材料４８が設けられている。パッドは、不浸透性
の防止材５２及び剥眉片５４を有している。剥離片は衣
類に取り付けるだめの２木の平行な接着剤の線５６及び
５８をカバーしている。または、図示のような複数の線
ではなく１つの幅の広い接着剤のバンドを使用すること
ができる。吸収材は２つの貯溜吸収部材６０及び６２に
よって構成されている。体液移動すなわち体液移動部材
６６は、体側の面６８と吸収材６０．６２の間に延びて
いる。体液移動部材６６は、更に吸収材６０．６２の間
で下に延びる折曲部７０が設けられ、これによって体液
がパッド内及び貯溜用吸収材６０及び６２の下部に分配
される。
第７図は、本発明の他のパッド８０を断面で示す。バン
ド８０は、浸透性の体側部材８２及び裏側８６を形成す
る不浸透性部材８４及び２つの縦方向の側部８８及び９
０を有している。パッドには衣類取り付は用接着剤片９
４をカバーする剥離片９２が設けられている。吸収材は
体液移転部材９６．９８及び体液′保持用すなわち貯溜
用吸収材１（１０．１０２によって構成されている。体
液移転部材９８は、吸収材１（１０の部分の周囲を包み
、バンドの中央部に向かっている。吸収材９６は、吸収
材１０２の部分の周囲を包み、パッドの中央部に向かっ
ている。部材９６及び９８は、パッドの中央部１０４を
介して体液を底部８６及び吸収材１（１０及び１０２の
間の領域に下方へと移動させる。
第８及び９図は、従来技術による使用済みのパッドを示
す。第８図は、従来技術のパッド１１０の平面図である
。領域１１２は月経の体液による汚損部である。第９図
は、第８図のパッド１１０の断面線９−９による断面図
である。断面に示されるように、パッド１１０は、体側
カバー１１４及び不浸透性防止材１１６で形成されてい
る。パッドには、更に脱脂綿のような吸収材１１８が設
けられている。汚損部１１２は、底部１２２よりも上部
１１２で幅が広い。これは、−船釣に逆載頭ピラミッド
の形をしている。従って、領域１２４及び１２６におけ
る吸収材は無駄になり、大きな汚損部１１２がパッドの
上部に付く。
第１０及び１１図は、本発明によるパッド内に於ける月
経による体液の流れのパターンを示す。
パッド１３０は、体側面１３４に月経による体液１３２
の領域を有する。第１１図は、パッド内に於ける月経に
よる体液の流れを示すパッド１３０の断面図である。不
浸透性部材１３６は、パッドの側部及び後部で吸収材を
取り囲んでいる。吸収材は、かさの大きいすなわち貯溜
用吸収材１３８及び１４０によって構成され、これらは
体液移転部材１４２及び１４４から体液を優先的に吸収
する。体液移転部材は、体液を１ビーム・リブ部１４６
を介して吸収材の上部側の領域１３２から底部の吸収材
１４４に移動させる。図では吸収材１４４及び１４６の
間に空間が設けられているが、これらは最善の性能を発
揮するには接触していなければならない。体液は、そこ
でそれぞれ吸収材１３８及び１４０の領域１４８及び１
５０に吸収される。パッドには、衣類接着用の接着剤１
５２が設けられている。剥離片１５４は、衣類取り付は
用接着剤１５２をカバーしている。このパッド１３０は
、汚損部１３２がパッドの端部近くには存在せず、体液
はパッド１３０の内部に移動していることを示している
。これと対比して、パッド１１０では、体液による汚損
部１１２はパッドの縦方向の側端部に存在し、この場所
ではリークが容易に発生する。
第１２及び１３図は、本発明の別の実施例を示し、ここ
では、超吸収層のような別の吸収材構造が利用されてい
る。第１２図に断面で示されているように、パッド１６
０はパッド１６０の両側部１６４．１６６及び底部１６
８を形成する不浸透性防止材１６２によって構成されて
いる。パッドには、従来の方法で剥離片１７２によって
カバーされた衣類取り付は用接着剤１７０が設けられて
いる。体側浸透性部材１７４は、パッドの体側に載置さ
れている。吸収材は、体液移転部材１７６及び１７８に
よって構成されている。体液貯溜層１８０は、シートを
有する超吸収材によって構成されている。吸収材１８２
．１８４は脱脂綿のようなかさの大きい吸収材である。
■ビームの形状の体液移動部材１７６．１７８によって
、体液は部材１８６の上部表面から体液移動部材１８８
の中間部を通って底部１７８に移動する。新しい層１８
０は、超吸収材のシート、マイクロファイバー・シート
のような吸収材でもよく、また超吸収材の粒子の担持体
であってもよい。超吸収材は、一般に、その重量の３０
倍以上の流体の重量を吸収する能力のあるハイドロコロ
イド重合体である。
しかしこのような流体の吸収は、非常に急速には行われ
ない。従って、これを底部に配設すると移転部材１７８
からの体液の吸収に時間がかかる。
第１３図は、パッドの両側部１９４及び１９６を形成す
る不浸透性防止部材１９２によって構成されているパッ
ド１９０を示す。このパッドには、従来の方法で衣類取
り付けよう接着剤１９８及び剥離片２（１０が設けられ
ている。体側の面には、浸透性部材２０２が設けられて
いる。浸透性部材２０２を通過すると、体液は、吸収材
２０８及び２１０の内部の部分の周囲を包んでいる体液
移転部材２０４及び２０６と接触する、超吸収材を含む
２１２は、体液移転部材２０４及び２０６の下部の下に
設けられている。
体液移動構造即ち体液移転材料は、脱脂綿のように容易
に体液を移転させ体液を吸収材に引き渡すものであれば
どのような材料でもよい。このような材料は、−船釣に
親水性と疎水性の成分を有している。適当な材料は、接
着されたカーディング処理されたウェブ、コツオーム及
びメルトブロー材料である。コツオームは、空気で形成
されたメルトブロー重合物とステーブル・ファイバーの
混合物であり、最も一般的には、メルトブロー・ポリプ
ロピレン及びデビリケートされた木材繊維である。
好適な材料は、ポリプロピレン、ポリエステル及びレー
ヨンを混ぜ合せ、超音波によって接着したカーディング
処理したウェブである。別の好ましい材料は約１５ミク
ロン以上の繊維の直径を有するコツオームとして定義さ
れるマイクロファイバーのコツオームである。他の望ま
しい材料は、ポリエステル及びレーヨンのブレンドの接
着されたカーディング処理されたウェブである。移動材
料は、移動層内で容易に体液を流動させるために親水性
の成分を含んでいなければならない。しかしそれはまた
、体液が滞留しているよりもむしろ優先的に一層均一な
親水性を有する他の吸収材に移動するように疎水性の成
分を含んでいなければならない。更に移動部材を形成す
るファイバーの全体の中の一部は、これらを場合に応じ
て親水性又は疎水性にするため、カーディング処理した
ウェブまたはコンフォームを形成する前またはこれらの
形成中に処理されることができる。コンフォーム材料は
、空気形成されたポリプロピレン・ファイバーと組合わ
せたレーヨンや木材のようなステーブル・ファイバーの
ブレンドであってもよい。
スパンボンド・ポリプロピレンの基布にスポット接着さ
れたレーヨン及びポリエステルの接着されたカーディン
グ処理されたウェブは、また移動のために利用可能であ
る。
これらの製品において、移転材料から体液を吸収する貯
溜部即ち、かさの大きい吸収材として選択される材料は
、移転層から体液を優先的に吸収する材料であればどの
ような物でもよい。更にこの様な材料は、貯溜用吸収材
から移転材料に体液の優先的な流れを引き起こしてはな
らず、従って良好な体液保持能力と移転材料から体液を
優先的に吸収する能力を持っていればどのような吸収材
でもよい。この様な材料の代表的な物は、セルロース・
スポンジ、ポリマー・スポンジ、テラシュ及びガーゼで
ある。望ましい材料は脱脂綿であるが、これは脱脂綿が
高い保持力を有し、かつコストが低いからである。体液
の保持力を改善するために、マイクロファイバーのよう
な超吸収材またはその他の吸収材をかさの大きい吸収材
に付加することが可能である。超吸収材は、その重量の
３０倍以上の液体を保持する能力を有するヒドロゲル材
料である。
本発明は、２方向の移動が改善されているため、体液が
、カバ一部とかさの大きい吸収材との間でパッドの表面
からパッドの中間部を通ってかさの大きい吸収材の下に
ある底部に速やかにかつ効率的に移動できると言う利点
を有している。従って、かさの大きい吸収材は、移動部
材から体液を優先的に吸収することができる。このバン
ドは更に、かさの大きい吸収材の間の中間部において開
口部有することにより中間部で湾曲して体に一層よくフ
ィツトすることができ、これによってひだができたり捩
じれたりすることが一層少なくなる。これは接触を良く
するため、上方向に持上げがる中間部で湾曲するため、
体液移動部材によって体液とパッドは良好に最初に接触
する。
本発明によるパッドは、−船釣に綿毛の吸収材の周辺に
テラシュの包装部材を必要としない。カーディングした
ウェブまたは、メルトブローの体液移動部材を使用する
ことによって、綿毛のテラシュによる包装を必要としな
いで十分な強度を与えることができる。これは包装を必
要としないため、コストの節約になる。
本発明は、特定の例で説明されたが、その説明は、網羅
的なものではなく、説明することを意図したものである
ことが理解されるだろう。その構造の細部は、本発明の
精神または範囲から逸脱することなく、変形または変更
されることが可能である。例えば、かさの大きい即ち貯
溜用吸収材は、更に吸収能力に差をつけるため異なった
密度の複数の層で形成されてもよい。更に、補強層のよ
うな他の層が利用されてもよい。本発明は、主として女
性用パッドを参照して説明されたが、これは夜尿症用品
またはおむつに使用するのにも適している。本発明は、
伸縮自在の夜尿症用品、おむつまたは衣類の形状に合う
ように伸縮自在化された縦に長い中央端部を有する女性
保護製品にも用途がある。

Claims (14)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. （１）流体の移動用材料を有し、この移動用材料は、体
    液を、体側面の中間部からパッドを通って、上記のパッ
    ドの不浸透性の裏当て層の近傍の領域に移動させるよう
    になっていることを特徴とする人体滲出液吸収パッド。
  2. （２）上記の移動用材料は、上記のパッドの縦方向の中
    間部を通って延びていることを特徴とする請求項（１）
    記載のパッド。
  3. （３）上記の移動用材料は、上記の不浸透性の裏当て部
    材と上記のパッドのかさの大きい吸収材の間に延びてい
    ることを特徴とする請求項（１）記載のパッド。
  4. （４）上記の移動用材料は、Ｉビーム型の断面形状を有
    することを特徴とする請求項（１）記載のパッド。
  5. （５）上記のパッドは、更に上記の移動用材料から体液
    を吸収するかさの高い吸収材によって構成されているこ
    とを特徴とする請求項（１）記載のパッド。
  6. （６）上記のかさの大きい吸収材は、上記のパッドの縦
    方向の中央部に延びる上記の移動用材料の部分の両側に
    位置していることを特徴とする請求項（５）記載のパッ
    ド。
  7. （７）更に上記の不浸透性の裏当て部材の近傍にある超
    吸収材によって構成される体液貯溜部材を有し、この貯
    溜部材は、上記の移動部材からこの貯溜部材に体液を移
    転させるために上記の移転材料と接触していることを特
    徴とする請求項（１）記載のパッド。
  8. （８）上記の移動用材料はポリエステル繊維、レーヨン
    繊維、ポリプロピレン繊維及びそれらの混合物のカーデ
    ィング処理してウエブからなる群より選択されたもので
    あることを特徴とする請求項（１）記載のパッド。
  9. （９）上記の移動用材料は、上記のパッドの長さの約２
    分の１と約３分の２の間にわたって延びていることを特
    徴とする請求項（１）記載のパッド。
  10. （１０）体側の浸透性部材と、不浸透性裏当てと、これ
    らの間の吸収材及び上記の浸透性部材の裏側に位置する
    上記の吸収材の部分を延びると共に、上記の吸収材を通
    って上記の吸収材と上記の不浸透性裏当ての間を延びる
    体液移動構造とを有することを特徴とする女性用パッド
    。
  11. （１１）上記のパッドには、更に上記の体液移動構造と
    上記の不浸透性裏当ての間の超吸収材によって構造され
    る貯溜層が設けられていることを特徴とする請求項（１
    ０）記載のパッド。
  12. （１２）上記の体液移動構造は、上記の吸収材を通って
    全体として上記のパッドの長手方向中央部の領域に延び
    ることを特徴とする請求項（１０）記載のパッド。
  13. （１３）上記の体液移動構造は、全体として上記のパッ
    ドの約２分の１から約３分の２の中心部に位置すること
    を特徴とする請求項（１２）記載のパッド。
  14. （１４）上記の体液移動構造は、一般的にＩビームの形
    状の断面を有することを特徴とする請求項（１０）記載
    のパッド。
