Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain even visual airconditioning effect by providing an image display which can show scenes conforming to the operation modes of a compressor. CONSTITUTION:A microprocessor 8 is designed to output a signal based on the manipulation of a switching means 9 to an airconditioner main body by way of an output means 10. An image memory 11 stores scenic image data to be displayed on an image display means 1 or image data which depicts the operating status of an operation switch 2 or 7 on the switching means 9. A remote controller which comprises the aforesaid elements allows the image display means 1 to indicate image data when an attempt is made to select the operation modes or set the temperature by manipulating the operation switch 2 or 7 on the switching element 9. When the operation switch is not manipulated for a specified time (about 3 minutes), a display screen 13 on the display means 1 display scenic image (when the operation mode is dry, cooling, or ventilating) or scenic image (when the operation mode is heating) displayed on a screen 14 is indicated.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION (a) Field of Industrial Application The present invention relates to a display on a remote controller that controls the operation of an air conditioner.

(b) Prior Art In general, as a conventional technology in which a remote controller is equipped with an image display section, there are those described in Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 59-189377 or No. 62-8790. The former described uses a cathode ray tube as an image display section in a remote controller and is used for monitoring a subchannel of a television receiver and as a portable television. The latter type uses a liquid crystal television as an image display section.
