。Recently, from molten metal such as molten steel, several rhymes to several ± that are close to the final shape are being produced.
A continuous casting method that directly produces metal ribbons as thick as a crane is attracting attention. When this method is used, the conventional multi-step rolling process can be omitted, so that the process and equipment can be simplified. Furthermore, since the process of heating the material above the processing temperature between each process is essentially unnecessary, an energy saving effect can also be expected.

In this continuous casting machine, molten metal in a tundish 1 is supplied from a nozzle 2 to a casting space. This casting space is formed by partitioning both sides of the opposing gap between a pair of belts 4 made of a heat-resistant material such as steel, which run over a pulley 3, with short-sided molds. The molten metal poured into this casting space is cooled and solidified by the cooling box 6, and is carried out as a metal ribbon 7.

Molten metal is inserted into the hole, causing burrs. Therefore, it is necessary to press the belt against the short side mold.

When sequentially inserting the blocks between the belts, the blocks may be inserted at enlarged or reduced positions in the width direction of the belt. In this case, although the flock block alone does not move in the belt width direction, the casting width is changed by inserting the flock group whose position has been changed.

In this device, the short side molds are arranged so as to be movable in the width direction of the belt, and in addition to the short side presser blocks on both sides of the cooling box, the short side molds are also placed inside the cooling pile. A presser block is placed. This short side presser block can freely move forward and backward with respect to the back surface of the belt by transmitting the driving force of the extrusion device through the iron.

A casting space is formed at both ends of the belt, and coolant is supplied throughout the gap between the belt and the cooling box. In addition, when manufacturing thin metal strips with a small width,
Move the short-side mold to a position inward in the belt width direction, and press the short-side mold through the belt with the short-side presser block on the cooling side that is in a position where it can be pressed through the belt. A belt that forms a casting space and is located inside the short side presser block in the width direction of the belt;
A refrigerant is supplied between the block and the cooling box, and the supply of refrigerant to the outside of the block presser on the short side is stopped. In addition, a plurality of ribs are protruded on the surface of the cooling box facing the belt, which prevents the belt from getting too close to the cooling box due to the static pressure of the molten metal, and also prevents the belt from coming too close to the cooling box, and also prevents the belt from coming too close to the cooling box. This is to ensure that

。In addition, when casting the metal ribbon 7, the part of the entire surface of the belt 4 that comes into contact with the molten metal receives a large heat flux, so that the temperature of the belt 41 is lower in the center than in other parts. Becomes higher. As a result, it is known that the belt 4 thermally expands in the central portion, causing deformation of the belt 4. The situation is schematically shown in FIG. In order to prevent this deformation, it is effective to keep the entire surface of the belt 4 at a uniform temperature.

This method has the advantage that the amount of cooling water can be greatly increased compared to the cooling box method described above, but on the other hand, since it uses a disc roll method, it can withstand the static pressure of the molten metal being cast. However, it has the disadvantage that it is not suitable for applications where large static pressure is applied.

(11) is a side view. 4 and 5 are rear views of FIG. 3. In this embodiment, a pressing block 118 movable in the width direction of the belt is provided on the back surface of the belt 4 in order to bring the short side mold '5 and the belt 4 into close contact with each other and maintain the flatness of the belt 4. A group of disk rolls 112 are provided on the back surface of the belt 4 for the purpose of carrying out the belt. This pressing block 118 moves in synchronization with the short-side mold 5, and presses the disc "roll group 112".
Following the movement of this push block 118, the belt 4 can be automatically expanded and contracted in the width direction of the belt 4 (can be expanded and contracted).

It is arranged in the heating chamber 14 and has a plate shape that is long in the casting direction. Then, the cooling/heating chamber 14 is connected via the rod 10.
It is guided to the outside of the belt 4 and pushed up in a direction away from the belt 4 by a spring 15 (see Figures 4 and 5). The head of the rod 10 is in contact with a cam shaft 17 having the same number of eccentric cams 16 as the number of short side presser blocks 9. The eccentric cams 16 are arranged at equal intervals at an angle of 360/n, which is 360 degrees divided by the number n of short side presser blocks 9. As a result, when the camshaft 17 is rotated, the short side presser blocks 9 are sequentially moved in and out from the outside to the inside or in the opposite direction.

It has a belt support system. The cooling box has an upper cooling part of 1l10
It has two stages: 0a and the lower cooling section 1100mm. Cooling water is 8 to 8 at the jet section per 111 m on one side of the belt.

min% The lower cooling box part is manufactured to be variable in the range of 3 to 5 t'/win. The amount of cooling water that can flow through a cooling box varies slightly depending on its design, but is approximately 7.
Since it was determined that t/win was close to the limit, the upper 600 am of the mold was supported by a belt using a group of disk rolls, and the cooling method was a jet type, which allowed cooling water to flow at a rate of 8 t/min or more.
