ローラ2と、該心ローラ2の外周面に塗布法によ
り形成されて該外周面の形状に倣う被覆層3とを
備えたローラ1の研摩装置であつて、把持位置で
は前記ローラ1をそれの軸線x―x回りに回転可
能に把持し、また解放位置では前記ローラ1の離
脱を許容する把持部材8と、把持状態の前記ロー
ラ1を回転させる第1回転駆動部材91と、把持
状態の前記ローラ1の軸線x―x方向に往復動可
能な支持部材101と、該支持部材101を往復
動させる往復駆動部材11と、前記支持部材10
1に設けられて把持状態の前記ローラ1外周面に
対し進退自在で、且つ進退方向と平行な軸線回り
に回転可能な研摩部材12と、該研摩部材12を
回転させる第2回転駆動部材92と、前記研摩部
材12を前進させて把持状態の前記ローラ1外周
面に一定の接触圧を以て押付け、また前記研摩部
材12を後退させて前記ローラ1外周面より離間
させる作動部材13とを備えていることを特徴と
