Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明はオフセツト印刷機を用いた凸版印刷方
法に関するものであり、効率よく低コストで従来
のオフセツト印刷機を用いて凸版印刷を行うこと
を目的とするものである。
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a letterpress printing method using an offset printing machine, and an object of the present invention is to perform letterpress printing efficiently and at low cost using a conventional offset printing machine.

現在、一般印刷物の印刷手段としてオフセツト
印刷機が広く使用されており、主に平版印刷方法
によつて印刷されている。しかしながら部分的に
凸版印刷方法で印刷する場合が多い。例えばカレ
ンダー印刷物の店名の刷り込み等は別途凸版印刷
方法により行うことが多い。これは主に平版オフ
セツト印刷によると、わずかな印刷部分の場合で
あつても規格の大きさの版全部を使用しなければ
ならないから版材コストが高くなるからである。
しかしながら一度平版印刷を行つた印刷物を更に
凸版印刷機で印刷することは工程上ロスが多く、
又現在凸版印刷機に比べて平版オフセツト印刷機
が普及していることから考えても実際的ではな
い。そこで平版オフセツト印刷機の版胴に凸版印
刷用版を装着して印刷する方法が考案され、行わ
れている。これはドライオフセツト法とも呼ばれ
ている方法であるが、印刷紙面の一部のみに印刷
する場合は依然として大きな面積の印刷版材が必
要であつた。また使用する凸版は一般の凸版と異
なり、正像の絵柄文字を形成されたものであるか
ら、同版を一般の凸版印刷において用いることは
できない。更にドライオフセツトが実施できるオ
フセツト印刷機は版胴、ブランケツト胴のアンダ
ーカツト量が他のものと異なつており、限定され
ていた。

Furthermore, considering that lithographic offset printing presses are currently more widespread than letterpress printing presses, this is not practical. Therefore, a method of printing by mounting a letterpress printing plate on the plate cylinder of a lithographic offset printing machine has been devised and put into practice. This method is also called the dry offset method, but it still requires a printing plate material with a large area when printing only on a portion of the printing paper surface. Furthermore, unlike ordinary letterpress printing, the letterpress used is one in which regular images of picture characters are formed, so the same letterpress cannot be used in general letterpress printing. Furthermore, offset printing machines capable of performing dry offset have been limited in that the amount of undercut on the plate cylinder and blanket cylinder is different from other types.

本発明者らは上記従来法の諸欠点に鑑み、種々
研究考察を重ねた結果、本発明を完成するに至つ
たものである。即ち、本発明は、オフセツト印刷
機の版胴1表面に装着したインキ保持体2面にベ
タ状にインキを付着し、ブランケツト胴3の必要
箇所に装着された凸版4にインキを転移させ、印
刷することを特徴とするオフセツト印刷機を用い
た凸版印刷方法である。

ツト用PS版やインキの付着し易いゴムシート等
を用いる。インキ着けローラ5によつてインキ保
持体2面にベタ状にインキを付着せしめ、該イン
キ保持体2からブランケツト胴3に装着された凸
版4にインキを転移せしめ、該凸版4から印刷用
紙6にインキを転移することにより印刷を施す。

た上に貼着してもよいが、ブランケツト胴3の上
に必要部分にゴムブランケツト又は他の適当な材
料よりなる印圧調節台7を設け、その上に凸版4
を貼着するのが好ましい(第2図参照)。
