The basic structure of such a classifier is shown in FIG. In this figure, 1... is a plurality of cylindrical classification screens vertically installed radially in the circumferential direction in the upper chamber of the casing 2, and air purge pipes 3... are arranged to face the classification screens 1... . The classifying screens 1... are each connected to rotatable drive shafts 4..., and since the drive shafts 4... are rotated by a chain or the like connected to the upper end, the classifying screens 1...
It is also rotatable. The granular raw material inputted from the raw material supply port 5 at the upper part of the casing 2 flows through the opening 6.
The particles enter the classification screen 1 and are separated into coarse particles and fine particles according to their particle size. The coarse particles pass through the coarse particle chamber 7 and are discharged from the lower end opening 8, and the fine particles pass through the fine particle discharge pipe provided in the center. 9 and is discharged from the side openings.
