The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a magnetic tape in which a magnetic field is applied during solidification to create a difference in concentration distribution of magnetic particles in a synthetic resin tape. A conventional conventional magnetic tape has a powder magnet fixed to the surface of a tape made of polyester resin, polyimide resin, acetyl cellulose resin, etc. as a base material. Commonly used magnets are made of platinum-cobalt, rare-earth cobalt, αFe 2 O 3 /cobalt-rare-earth, etc., which are made into fine particles and bonded together. However, the thickness of the magnetic particle layer obtained by coating on the base tape cannot be reduced by any method, and the noise characteristics cannot be improved. In view of these current circumstances, the present invention incorporates magnetic particles into a base synthetic resin, applies a magnetic field in the thickness direction (vertical direction) during solidification, increases the surface density of the magnetic particles, and solidifies to form a tape shape. This allows the surface magnetic layer to be made extremely thin, increasing the noise ratio and creating a highly sensitive tape.It also increases the adhesion of the magnetic material and increases the strength of the tape. The invention will now be explained by way of one implementation. First, FIG. 1 explains a conventional magnetic tape, in which a powder magnetic material 3 is coated on the surface of a synthetic resin tape 2.
The thickness of such adhesive layer 1 is limited even when considering the type of magnetic powder 3, and is usually 5 to 10 μm at the thinnest. FIG. 2 shows an embodiment of the present invention, in which a powder magnetic material 3 is mixed with a synthetic resin 2 of a tape forming material. Then, when molding and solidifying the synthetic resin into a thin film tape, the magnetic poles 6 are opposed to the surface and scanned over the surface to treat the magnetic particles 3 in the resin so as to create a difference in concentration distribution between the surface and the inside, and solidify the resin. . By performing such a solidification process, an ultra-thin magnetic layer 4 in which magnetic powder 3 is densely distributed is formed on the surface layer of the molded tape, and the inside is made of synthetic resin with magnetic powder 3 dotted thereon. thick layer 5 can be formed. Generally, tape resins include polyester resin, polyimide resin, acetyl cellulose resin,
Other materials can be used, and high Hc magnetic powders such as rare earth cobalt, platinum cobalt, α-Fe 2 O 3 , and Co-Ni can be used as the magnetic material. In the present invention, a mixed composition containing γFe 2 O 3 in the amount shown in Table 1 was made into a tape and solidified, and a magnetic field of 8000 Gauss was applied during solidification. Furthermore, when ultrasonic vibration is output, for example, 32 kHz is applied to facilitate the movement of powder and process the tape surface density to a high density.
The surface concentration of magnetic powder was about twice that of the inside, and the thickness of the surface layer 4 was 0.5 μm, and the thickness of the lower layer 5 was 50 μm. The signal-to-noise ratio was improved by about 50% compared to the conventional one.

[Table] In addition, as shown in Figure 2, in the case where a magnetic particle film is formed from the mixed composition shown in Table 1, the magnetic powder 3 mixed in the lower layer 5 is also dispersed in the resin. It has a structure that is distributed and strengthened by dispersion, and compared to conventional polyester film with a layer of magnetic particles adhered to it, the strength is improved by approximately 13%. As explained above, the present invention adds fine grains of magnetic material to a synthetic resin material, and when solidifying into a tape shape, applies a magnetic field and ultrasonic vibrations. Since the concentration is different and a high concentration and high density magnetic layer is formed on the surface layer, it is possible to easily form a magnetic layer with a thickness of 1 μm or less. The thus obtained magnetic tape of the present invention can increase the magnetic sound density and improve the signal-to-noise ratio. Moreover, the strength of the tape itself is increased by strengthening the dispersion of the powder, and the adhesion holding power of the magnetic fine powder is increased. It is strong and has increased wear resistance, and is very effective when used.
