先行技術の説明 食品包装は過去にも説明されている。例えば米国特許第
３４９８０１８号の食品包装では、食品は本体と上部部
材を有する包装内に密閉される。食品は真空下で機械的
圧力によって形成され、もって食品を包装にあわせて形
成して密閉する。このようなタイプの包装及び形成方法
はさらに米国特許第４４１１１２２号、第４５７７７５
７号及び第４６８８３６９号にも説明されている。これ
ら特許を改良する試みは米国特許第４４９８５８８号及
び第４４９８５８９号に説明されている。様々な改良の
中でも例えば特許第４４９８５８８号では、噛合を連動
させる段付部３４、講３６及び第３図が説明されている
。しかしながらこれら要素は包装を再密閉する際好適な
可聴音を発するに充分であるかは照明していない。包装
にスナップ動作を組込むその他の手段は特許第３６７２
５３６号及び第３７３４２７６号に述べられている。し
かしなからこれら２件の特許は、包装された食品が真空
で機械的圧力によって包装にあわせて形成される包装に
ついては説明していない。そのため、容易に開放できて
、また包装が再密閉されたことを消費者に知らせる可聴
音を明確に発して再密閉し、詳しくは食品が容器に従っ
て押圧される包装がいまだ必要とされている。
発明の概要 本発明は、周辺フランジ、側壁及び隆起パネル部のある
基部を有する食品包装に関する。また本体部材は周辺フ
ランジ、側壁及び上部パネルを有する。前記本体部材は
、食品を圧縮するように前記基部側壁が前記本体部材側
壁を入れ子式に噛合する時、基部と共同して食品製品を
収納するキャビティを形成する。好適な包装食品には薄
切ランチョンミートやチーズが含まれるがこれに限一定
されるものではない。本体部材フランジを基部フランジ
に密閉する剥離可能な密閉手段をも有する。
基部側壁及び本体部材側壁にはスナップ締付手段があり
、基部が本体部材を噛合する時可聴なスナップ締付動作
を発する。
発明の詳細な説明 ここで米国特許第３４９８０１８号、第４４１１１２２
号、第４５７７７５７号及び第４６８８３６９号を参考
とする。これらの特許には、図で示すように、変形可能
で基部１２の隆起パネル部分１０の直立分の形に配置さ
れる所定量の製品によって特徴づけられる真空の密閉包
装の形成方法が説明されている。基部は側壁１３と周辺
フランジ１４を有し、本体部材１８の対応する周辺フラ
ンジ１６と密閉する。本体部材は半硬質、予備成形した
プラスチックが望ましい。
本体部材は、製品の上端と係合する上部パネル２０と、
前記製品の側壁と係合する付随側壁２２を有する。上部
パネルはヒンジ形成部分２４によって前記側壁に結合す
る。本体部材側壁の底部縁は、該隆起パネル部分の周辺
縁で基部の部分と入れ子関係にある。包装に詰めるには
、本体部材を逆に置いて該本体部材に充分な量の製品を
入れ、本体部材を実質的に満たして包装を完了する。基
部は、製品パネルが入れ子式に本体部材に入って製品と
係合するように本体部材の口に位置させる。基部のフラ
ンジ縁部は本体部材の対応する縁部と重なる。隆起パネ
ル部分の外面に対し内向きに１ｆｌｔｉａ的圧力を加え
る。本体側壁の底部縁の削る領域は、組立体を真空化し
密閉する間に製品を基部及び本体部材の内面に密着させ
て製品の内面の形に従わせ、同領域と製品間の実質的に
完全に満たすに充分なものとする。
本発明によれば、基部側壁と本体部材側壁に突起部２４
が形成される。突起部は部分的な円やその他の複数の形
をとることができ、包装を詰めて密閉する前あるいは後
にひだ２６ができるよう高＜（１／１６インチ以上、１
７８インチが望ましく、１７４インチがさらに望ましい
）する。後で行う熟成形ひだにより、本体部材と基部が
押圧された時可聴スナップとなる。締付特徴を形成する
別の手段は、基部突起部を本体突起部よりわずかに広く
形成することである。これによって２つの部分が押圧さ
れた時締めつける動作となる。接着剤２８を使用する場
合、接着剤は包装周辺に伸び、タブ突起部の形に従う。
最低１つのタブ突起部、最高８あるいはそれ以上の突起
部を形成して望ましい再密閉締付動作を得ることができ
る。再密閉を助ける別の実施例は、底部接着線に隣接し
た折曲げ線の基部に沿った永久接着剤あるいはヒートシ
ールをヒンジとして機能させる。ヒンジは包装のいづれ
かの端部で基部１２とふくらみを有したフランジ１６に
接着テープを設けて作ってもよい。基部と本体部材の側
壁に熱成形の揃いのラグを設けて包装を開放した後の再
密閉を強化してもよい。本発持続性を得ることができる
。可聴スナップ音もまた一度包装を開放した後の新鮮さ
の保存認識を強化する。本発明は、円形、四角形その池
の形の包装に応用できる。また、突起部は消費者に見え
るので見た目のよさを与える。容易に開放するには、剥
離、再密閉可能の高分子量ポリマー接着剤を使用するか
、ヒートシール可能な容易に剥離する多層硬質フィルム
を使用してもよい。従って、本発明の特徴は、基部及び
本体部材が互いに押圧されたとき、後で行なう熱成形に
よるグリップ動作があるか無いかに関係なく、頂部から
底部に向かう押し付は力により摩擦的に嵌合するよう側
壁の一部として基部及び本体に設けられた熱成形された
突起にある。
包装基部及び本体部材の可聴再密閉性は、包装の密閉領
域内で得られる。突起部のひだは側面から生じてもよい
。包装を詰めて密閉した後が望ましい。ひだはまた室温
で生じてもよいし、あるいはひた領域表面に熱を加えて
もよくまたクリンピング装置を用いて与えてもよい。
図面で示す本発明の実施例では、半円形の５つの突起部
の例が見られる。本体部材の厚さは約１３ミル、基部の
厚さは約１２ミルである。本体部材の成分は、Ｂａｒｅ
ｘ２１０．Ｐ　Ｅ　Ｔあるいはｐｖｃを用いることがで
きる。基部成分は、Ｂａｒｅｘ２１０、ＰＶＣｌあるい
はＢａｒｅｘ２１０、ｐｖｃあるいはポリスチレンにラ
ミネートした５ａｒａｎｅｘが望ましい。

Claims (1)

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 １、ａ）周辺フランジ、側壁及び隆起パネル部分を有す
    る基部と、 ｂ）本体部材が基部と共同して食品製品を収納するキャ
    ビティを形成する周辺フランジを有する本体部材で、入
    れ子式に基部側壁を噛合する側壁を有し食品製品を圧縮
    し、上部パネルを有する前記本体部材と、 ｃ）食品製品がキャビティ内に詰められた後基部周辺フ
    ランジを本体周辺フランジに密閉する剥離可能な密閉手
    段と、 ｄ）基部及び本体部材側壁の剥離可能な密閉手段内にあ
    って基部を本体部材にスナップ締付する締付手段で、長
    さが少なくとも１／１６インチで基部及び本体部材側壁
    に位置する突起部からなり、突起部は摩擦ばめのため形
    成された締付手段からなる食品包装。 ２、変形可能で半硬質基部の隆起パネル部分の直立分の
    形に配置される所定量の製品に特徴づけられる真空、密
    閉包装の形成方法で、基部の周辺に伸びるフランジ余白
    は半硬質予備成形プラスチックの本体部材の対応するフ
    ランジ余白に密閉され、前記本体部材は前記製品の上端
    を噛合する上部パネルと前記製品の側壁を噛合する付随
    側壁を有し、前記上部パネルはヒンジ形成部分によって
    前記側壁に結合し、前記本体側壁の底部縁は前記隆起パ
    ネル部分の周辺縁で前記基部の部分と入れ子関係にあり
    、前記予備成形本体部材を逆位置に支持してそのフラン
    ジ余白を硬質上向き開放穴の縁部分に密閉し、前記本体
    部材に充分な量の前記製品を入れて前記本体部材を満た
    して包装を完了し、前記製品をパネルに噛合させたまま
    前記基部を前記本体部材の口に位置させて前記本体部材
    に入れ子にして前記製品と噛合させ前記基部のフランジ
    余白を前記本体部材の対応する余白と重なりあうように
    し、前記隆起パネル部分の外面で前記本体側壁の底部縁
    の作る領域に内向きに機械的圧力を加えて前記製品が前
    記基部及び本体部材の内面と密着して前記製品の形が前
    記内面の形に従い同領域と製品間の空間を実質的に完全
    に満たすようにする一方で組立品を真空化して包装を密
    閉し、包装はさらに基部及び本体部材側壁にあって基部
    を本体部材にスナップ締付する締付手段を有し、前記締
    付手段は長さが少なくとも１／１６インチで摩擦ばめを
    行う突起部である方法。
