Currently, various forms of transportation are used as a means of transportation for the masses, but there are some, such as route buses and double-decker buses that operate on expressways, that do not allow standing seats for safety reasons. In such transportation systems, crew members must check to see if there are empty seats before deciding whether to allow new passengers to board the vehicle. In this case, there would be no problem if there was a conductor, but many transportation systems such as buses are operated by one man, and the driver must perform this task every time he or she arrives at a stop.
At this time, if the driver searches for a vacant seat every time the bus arrives at a stop, operation efficiency will be poor, and in the case of a double-decker bus, it will be difficult to monitor vacant seats on floors that cannot be seen from the driver's seat. For this reason, attempts have been made to equip optical sensors or Matsuto switches at entrances and exits to calculate the number of passengers getting on and off the train, subtracting the number of passengers getting on and off, and displaying the number of vacant seats on the driver's seat, but the error is large and it is not practical. The development of a suitable device has been awaited.

FIG. 1 is a block diagram showing an embodiment in which this invention is applied to a double-decker bus in which the driver's seat is on the first floor. In the figure, 11 to 1o are seats that generate a seating signal when a passenger is seated, and 2 is a seat that generates a seating signal when a passenger is seated.
Signals indicating the number of passengers and number of vacant seats will be placed on the 1st and 2nd floors.
A calculator is generated for each floor seat, 3 is a display to display the number of passengers on the second floor, the number of vacant seats, and seating distribution, 4 is a stop switch to generate operation section information, 5 is a stop switch This is a storage device that stores a seat usage status signal representing the seat usage status such as the number of passengers and the number of vacant seats, which is supplied from the computing unit 2 every time the operation section information is supplied from the storage unit 4.

FIG. 5 is a front view showing an example of the display device 3. FIG.
In the figure, 30 is a display unit that displays the number of passengers on the second floor; 31 is a display unit that displays the number of vacant seats on the second floor;
Reference numeral 2 denotes a display section showing the seat arrangement of the second floor seats, and the display section 32 is designed to display the seat portions where passengers are seated.

The operation of the device configured in this way is as follows. In FIG. 1, when a passenger takes a seat at any of the seats 1 1 to 1 o , a seating signal is sent from the seat. When this seating signal is supplied to the computing unit 2, the computing unit 2 individually generates seat usage status signals representing the number of passengers and the number of vacant seats in the first and second floor seats, and supplies these signals to the storage device 5. do.

On the other hand, when the bus approaches a stop, the driver presses the stop switch 4 and informs passengers of the name of the next stop using a tape recorder (not shown) or the like. Since the signal when the stop switch 4 is pressed is supplied to the storage device 5, the storage device 5 stores the seat occupancy status signal every time the signal from the stop switch 4 is supplied. Among these seat occupancy status signals, the signal indicating the status of the second floor seats is displayed on the display 3.
It is now being supplied to Therefore, among the second floor seats, the distribution of seats where passengers are seated is displayed on the display section 32, the total number of seats in which passengers are seated is displayed on the display section 30, and the number of vacant seats is displayed on the display section 31.

Therefore, if the display device 3 is installed in the driver's seat, even if the driver is in the first floor seat, he or she can monitor the seating condition of the second floor seat. Further, by analyzing the data in the storage device 5 later, it is possible to analyze operation information such as the boarding and alighting status of users at each stop.
