Conventionally, such coal-water slurry fuel has been manufactured and supplied with the following numerical targets as a target, regardless of coal type etc., based on experience.

Concentration: 60-70% Viscosity: Approximately 1000 cp Fineness: 70-80% (200 mesh passage percentage = same level of fineness as pulverized coal) [Problems to be solved by the invention] However, in the above conventional technology, Since the slurry fuel supply conditions described above are rough based on experience and standards have not been established, changes in coal type and other conditions may cause the generation of unburned matter and NO x . However, the problem was greater than in the case of pulverized coal firing (drying).

Therefore, in the present invention, the properties of the coal-water slurry fuel are expressed by the formula μ≦1510exp (−0.465FR), where μ: viscosity of the coal-water slurry fuel cp FR: raw coal fuel ratio (FR = fixed carbon content/volatile ) F≧15.5FR+41.2 Where F: Fineness of coal in coal-water slurry fuel% (200
By supplying the fuel in a manner that satisfies the mesh passing percentage), it is possible to obtain combustion performance that is at least equivalent to or better than that of pulverized coal.

Figure 1 is a graph showing the relationship between fuel ratio (FR) and coal-water slurry fuel viscosity (100sec -1 20℃) (cp), in which a to e indicate various types of coal; Line 1 shows the viscosity of a coal-water slurry fuel that provides combustion performance equivalent to that obtained when raw coal is combusted with pulverized coal, and the combustion test results for each type of coal are shaded. This shows that the combustion performance of the coal-water slurry is lower than that of pulverized coal. Therefore, by selecting the viscosity of the coal-water slurry fuel according to the type of coal so as to be below line 1 in FIG. 1, good combustion can be achieved.

これを式で表わすと次のようになる。 This can be expressed as a formula as follows.

μ≦1510exp (−0.465FR) where μ: Viscosity of coal-water slurry fuel cp FR: Fuel ratio of raw coal (FR=fixed carbon content/volatile content) Figure 2 shows the fuel ratio (FR) and coal-water slurry. This is a graph showing the relationship between fuel fineness (200 mesh passing percentage), and f in the figure indicates pulverized coal combustion,
g indicates the combustion of high-viscosity slurry, h indicates the combustion of low-viscosity slurry, and line 2 indicates the fineness of the coal-water slurry fuel that provides combustion performance equivalent to that of pulverized coal combustion, and is shaded. shows that the combustion performance of the coal-water slurry is lower than that of pulverized coal. Therefore, by selecting the fineness of the coal-water slurry fuel in accordance with the fuel ratio of raw coal so as to be above line 2 in FIG. 2, good combustion can be achieved.

これを式で表わすと次のようになる。 This can be expressed as a formula as follows.

As described above, according to the method for supplying coal-water slurry fuel of the present invention, the upper limit of the viscosity and the lower limit of the fineness of the coal-water slurry fuel are set and supplied, thereby improving the combustion performance of the coal-water slurry fuel. It is possible to maintain the combustion performance of pulverized coal at a level equivalent to or higher than that of pulverized coal, and also to control the unburned content and NO x value by selecting the viscosity and fineness.
