Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform passive and active deodorizing for a long time by exposing a solution of a deodorant based on a dialkylamino component and a sulfonate component or the gel like composition thereof to air. CONSTITUTION:A deodorizing device 11 is arranged between the suction grill 2 and heat exchanger 5 of an air conditioner 1 and constituted by receiving an aqueous solution 13 of a polybutadiene derivative in a rectangular parallelepiped container 12 opened at the upper part thereof and immersing a nonwoven fabric 14 in said aqueous solution in order to accelerate evaporation. The polybutadiene derivative is prepared by introducing a lower alkylamino group and a sulfonate group into polybutadiene low in a degree of polymerization based on 1,4-polybutadiene by substitution or addition reaction. When the aqueous solution of the polybutadiene derivative or the gel like composition thereof is used, said derivative is well diffused to air and the contact probability with a malodorous component is high and, therefore, deodorizing effect increases.
