(Prior art) Conventionally, as a core sampler for collecting sediment from the water bottom for soil investigation during dredging, etc., a cylindrical core tube is weighted with a counterweight and allowed to fall freely from the water surface. There were drop-type samplers, and methods that vibrated a cylindrical sampler equipped with a vibrator and shot it into the sediment layer at the bottom of the water, but the former free-fall method was used to collect sand and gravel other than cohesive soil. It is not suitable for collection, and the latter method, which is equipped with a vibrator, requires a hydraulic system, a generator, etc., and has drawbacks such as high production costs and difficulty in use.

In order to solve this problem, a weight is fitted onto a rod that is erected at the top of the core tube so that it can slide up and down, and a hanging rope is tied to the weight so that it can be suspended from the ship. A core sampler for collecting sediment was developed in which the upper end of the core tube was hit with a weight by repeatedly pulling up and releasing the end of the lower rope, and the core tube was driven into the water bottom.
−4245). This core sampler for collecting sediment is
It was equipped with a vane plate at the top end to regulate the posture of falling underwater, but when the sand layer at the bottom of the water is hard, the amount of penetration of the tip of the core cube into the sand layer due to the initial free fall speed is small; The drawback was that the entire core sampler fell sideways. In order to prevent this core sampler from tipping over, an improvement was made by adding a float to the top of the rod (Utility Application No. 113075/1983). However, if a float is attached to hold the core cube and rods upright, the buoyant force of the float acts upwards on the core cube and rods, so their overall weight in the water becomes significantly lighter. When the hanging rope is pulled up to hit the upper end, the frictional resistance of the sliding part between the weight and the rod acts as an upward force on the rod.
As a result, the core tube had the disadvantage of being lifted along with the weight. This drawback is not so much of a problem when the bottom sediment layer is soft, since the core cube is allowed to fall freely with the weight, so it is not a problem, but it is noticeable when the bottom sediment layer is hard.

(Purpose of the invention) In view of the above-mentioned conventional drawbacks, the present invention has been developed to address the drawback of the previously developed core tube for collecting earth and sand, which uses a float to prevent it from tipping over, namely, the problem that the core tube floats up along with the weight. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a core tube for collecting earth and sand, which can be reliably and easily driven even when the bottom ground is hard.

Fig. 1 is a partially cutaway perspective sectional view of a core sampler for collecting sediment according to the present invention, and Fig. 2 is an enlarged perspective view showing the main parts thereof. It consists of a core tube 1, a rod 2, a weight 3, a float 4, and a hanging rope 5. The core tube 1 is press-fitted into the soil from the tip side to accommodate the sample soil, and has a hollow cylindrical shape.A shoe 11 is provided at the tip, that is, the lower end, and a core tube head 12 is provided at the upper end.
This shoe 11 has a tapered lower edge with a tapered cross section to facilitate driving into the bottom sediment, and the core tube head 12 is equipped with a check valve inside so that it can be driven into the bottom bottom sediment. The water in the core cube 1 is drained by the intrusion of earth and sand as the core cube 1 penetrates. A rod 2 is connected to the core tube head 12 by screwing its lower end. Further, a guide plate 22 having notched grooves on both sides is fixed to the top of the rod 2. The weight 3 has a through hole in its center, and by inserting the rod 2 into the through hole, the rod 2 can be removed.
A roughly shaped guide bar 31 is attached to the upper end of the guide bar 31. This guide bar 31 is connected to the guide plate 2.
It fits into notched grooves on both sides of the weight 2 and guides the sliding movement of the weight 3. Further, pulleys 32 and 33 are attached to the upper and lower ends of the left and right side plates of the guide bar 31, respectively, so as to project outward. The float 4 is attached to the upper end of the rod 2 to keep the core tube 1 upright in the water, and is attached to the tip of a float arm 41 rotatably attached to the guide plate 22. The buoyancy of the float 4 is such that the core sampler for collecting sediment does not fall down when it has landed on the bottom, and may be such that it tilts slightly, but it is preferable that it is not too large. A spring 43 is hung between the float arm 41 and a spring fitting 42 that is slidably attached to the rod 2.
The float arm 41 is constantly urged downward by the tensile force of 3. The hanging rope 5 is hung around pulleys 32 and 33 attached to the upper and lower ends of the left and right side plates of the guide bar 31, and its approximately central portion is positioned above the guide bar 31, as shown in FIG. After that, both sides of the guide bar 31 are hung on the outer sides of the upper pulleys 32, 32, and then wrapped around the lower pulleys 33, 33 and folded back to form a guide with each end protruding outward from the left and right side plates of the guide bar 31. It is fixed to each end 23, 23 of the plate 22. Further, this hanging rope 5 is connected to a connecting member 50 above the guide bar 31.
is connected to one long hanging rope 51.

When using the core sampler constructed in this manner, the end of the hanging rope 51 is held and dropped into water. At this time, the core sampler falls freely with the core tube 1 facing down, and when it reaches the bottom of the water, the shoe 11 slightly penetrates into the earth and sand layer 6 due to inertia. The degree of penetration depends on the type, condition, etc. of the earth and sand in the earth and sand layer 6; in the case of clayey soil, it penetrates relatively deeply, but in the case of sand, gravel, etc., it penetrates relatively shallowly. At this time, the core sampler for collecting earth and sand is maintained in a substantially vertical state by the action of the float 4, and does not fall over regardless of the degree of penetration of the shoe 11. Next, when the end of the hanging rope 51 is pulled, the connecting tool 5 is attached to the hanging rope 51.
The hanging rope 5 connected through 0 is pulled upward and the weight 3 rises, but as described above, the end of the hanging rope 5 is connected to the end 23 of the guide plate 22.
Since it is fixed to , the core tube 1 side is biased downward with a force equivalent to about one-half of the weight of the weight 3. After lifting the weight 3 by a predetermined stroke in this way, when the end of the hanging rope 51 is released, the weight 3 falls freely and hits the head of the core arch 1, and the tip of the core arch 1 is crushed by dirt and sand. Penetrate into layer 6. Thereafter, the same process is repeated to drive a predetermined amount of the core tube 1 into the earth and sand layer 6. After that, the hanging rope 41
This core sampler for collecting earth and sand is recovered by winding it up, and a sample of the earth and sand layer 6 clogged in the core tube 1 is taken out. Here, if the sample in core tube 1 leaks out during collection,
If a core catcher is provided inside the tip of the core cube 1, a complete sample can be collected regardless of the condition of the sediment layer 6 at the bottom of the water.

In the above embodiment, the pulley 33 was indirectly attached to the weight 3 via the guide bar 31, but the pulley 33 may be attached directly to the weight 3, and the pulley 32 may be a guide groove or the like. Good too.

(Effects of the invention) The present invention is constructed as described above, in which the hanging rope is fixed to the upper end of the weight guide rod connected to the core tube, and the weight is attached to the lower end of the rod. By hanging the weight on a pulley directly or indirectly fixed to the core, the weight is lifted from the core tube with part of its weight hanging on the core tube side, so when the weight is lifted, the core tube gets tangled and floats up. It has the remarkable effect of completely preventing this, allowing the core tube to reliably penetrate into the sediment layer at the bottom of the water regardless of the condition of the sediment layer at the bottom of the water, and making it possible to easily collect samples of gravel geology and the like.
