    て多数のひだを形成して紙単体を構成し、この
    紙単体の周囲を保持部材を介して保持するよう
    にしたエアークリーナエレメントにおいて、 前記紙単体のひだ同士を結んだ稜線の側面輪
    郭形状が、該エアークリーナエレメントをエアー
    クリーナケース内に支持する支持部を通る支持面
    に平行な仮想辺を支持面からの最低の長さを有す
    るひだを通るように支持面の上下において引いた
    ときに、上側の仮想辺および下側の仮想辺の少な
    くともいずれか一方の仮想辺よりも突出した部分
    形状を備えていることを特徴とするエアークリー
    ナエレメント。
