A vending machine equipped with this type of coin sorting device is configured to return the inserted coins when the user operates a return lever when the user stops purchasing the product after inserting a coin. . At this time, the coin passage of the coin sorting device is opened by operating this return lever, so that coins stuck in this area can also be returned, and a coin return signal is generated based on the opening operation of this coin passage. It is supposed to be done. For this reason, in the past, a dedicated switch was provided that was linked to the opening of this coin passage, and a coin return signal was generated from this switch.

When the coin passage of the coin sorting device is opened by a coin return operation, the impedance changes of the sorting coils facing each other across the coin passage occur simultaneously for each set. Normally, the change in impedance of the sorting coil caused by inserting a coin occurs during the process of the coin rolling down the path, so the change in impedance of the sorting coil of each set occurs between the sets of sorting coils located in front and behind the coin path. They occur at the same time, but not at the same time. Therefore, if simultaneous changes in impedance as described above are detected, it can be determined that a coin return operation has been performed.

The present invention will be described in detail below with reference to FIGS. 1 to 5. Fig. 3 is a side view showing the relationship between the arrangement of the sorting coils and the coin passage in the electronic coin sorting device, and Figs. 4 and 5 are plan views of the device when viewed from above Fig. 3. Figure 4 shows the normal state in which coins are sorted.
FIG. 5 shows a state in which the coin passage is opened based on a coin return operation or the like. In Figures 3 to 5, 01 is the coin input slot, 02 is the inserted coin (in this example, a 100 yen coin), 0
3 is the coin passage (rail section on the bottom of the coin passage), W A . WB is a side wall portion forming a side wall for the coin passage 03. The side walls WA and WB are connected to each other by a hinge HG as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, and as shown in FIG. It is configured to rotate and open the coin passage 03. As shown in FIG. 3, a coin 02 inserted from the coin input port 01 falls while rolling on a coin passage 03. I
A, IB, 2A, and 2B are sorting coils arranged along this coin path 03, and as described in Fig. 1, they are excited by the oscillating power supply ω, and the coin 02 passes through the alternating magnetic field generated by the coils. The change in the alternating magnetic field and, therefore, the change in the impedance of the sorting coil is detected through various circuits. Here, 1^, IB is mainly the material of coin 02. The sorting coils 2A and 2B used to detect the thickness are mainly used to detect the outer diameter of the coin 02. Here, the selection coils IA and 2A are embedded in the side wall WA,
Further, the coils IB and 2B are embedded in the side wall portion WB. The sorting coils 14 and 2A are arranged to face the sorting coils IB and 21'l, respectively, with the coin passage 03 in between. And the selection coils IA and IB are the first
As shown in the figure, they are connected in series, and the sorting coils 2A and 2B are also connected in series. FIG. 1 is a circuit diagram showing the basic configuration of an embodiment of the present invention. In the figure, Ll and L2 are reference inductance elements, IA, IB and 2A. 2B is the aforementioned selection coil, RLR2 is a resistor, and ω is an oscillation power supply, and these constitute two bridge circuits. The output of this bridge is a differential amplifier lL12, respectively.
The outputs of the differential amplifiers 11 and 1.2 are input to rectifier and smoothing circuits 21 and 22, where they are rectified and smoothed.
The outputs 21a and 22a of the comparator circuits 41.42 are respectively inputted to predetermined values COMI and C0M2, and the outputs 41a and 42a of the comparator circuits 41.42 are both input to an AND circuit 50 to output the outputs 41a, 41a, 42a is calculated, and the logical product output becomes the coin return signal RT. These two bridge circuits are adjusted by inductance elements Ll and L2 so that they are balanced in the standby state, and the inserted coin 02 is transferred to the sorting coils IA and I as shown in FIG.
When the coin passes between B and between 2A and 2B, or when the coin passage 03 is opened as shown in FIG. 5 by the return operation, the impedance of each sorting coil IA, IB, 2A, and 2B changes. The equilibrium state collapses and becomes an unbalanced state. Figure 2 is a time chart for explaining the operation of each part in Figure 1, and the period TI in Figure 2 is a time chart when coin 02 passes through the sorting coil section and is sorted as shown in Figure 4. Yes, period T2 in Fig. 2 is coin passage 0 as shown in Fig. 5.
3 is a time chart when release is performed. Note that (1) and (2) in FIG. 2 indicate the outputs 21a and 22a of the rectifying and smoothing circuit in FIG. 1, respectively, and (3) and (2) in the same figure respectively
4) are the outputs 41a and 42a of the comparator circuit in FIG. 1, respectively.
, and (5) in the same figure shows the coin return signal RT as the output of the AND circuit 50 in FIG. To explain FIG. 2, in the M-time TI, the coin 02 first passes between the sorting coils 14 and 113, and then passes between the sorting coils 2A and 2B. Therefore, the comparison circuit 41
.. Since the outputs 41a and 42a of 42 do not become 'High)i' at the same time, the output of the AND circuit 50 is ''Low
As it is, the coin return signal RT is not output. On the other hand, when the coin return operation is performed, as in period T2, the intervals between the sorting coils IA and 18 questions and between 2A and 2B widen at the same time, so the comparison circuit output 41a,
42a becomes "High" at the same time, and the AND circuit 50
The output becomes "High°" and the coin return signal RT is output.
