[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Object of the Invention] (Industrial Application Field) This invention provides electrical connection between a data processing device such as an electronic still camera device and a recording medium on which data is written and read. The present invention relates to a recording medium connecting device used for. (Prior art) Camera devices that are currently widely used use silver halide film as a recording medium, and after capturing the subject image on this film, the film is chemically treated and developed to view the subject image. However, it was impossible to instantly view the captured images. In contrast, recently, optical images are converted into electrical signals,
An electronic photographic system that eliminates the need for chemical processing by displaying images on a television receiver has been developed and commercialized. As such an electronic photographic system, there is a still image recording system that consists of an electronic still camera device, a playback device, a television receiver, etc. A recording medium in the form of a cassette or cartridge, such as a tape, disk, or drum made of magnetic material, is loaded into the still camera device to record images, and then the recording medium is taken out and loaded into a playback machine. A reproduced image is obtained by a television receiver. However, since the above-mentioned still image recording system uses a magnetic material as its recording medium, it requires a magnetic head for recording and reproduction, and a drive for driving the recording medium. This has the problem of increasing size and weight due to the need to include a drive unit, etc. Also, according to this, the power consumption for controlling the drive of the mechanism unit that drives the recording medium increases. There is also the problem that the S
By using a recording medium called a memory card equipped with a volatile semiconductor storage element such as a RAM, and configuring the semiconductor storage element of this recording medium to record image data taken with an electronic still camera device, Systems have been considered and developed that can reduce the number of mechanical parts and the like to make the system smaller and lighter, as well as to save power. FIG. 3 shows an electronic still camera device and a recording medium taken out in such a still image recording system. A recording medium 3 on which a semiconductor memory element is mounted can be attached and detached via the ejection port 2. The camera body 1 is provided with a lens barrel 4, a viewfinder 5 for setting the angle of view, and a release operator 6, similar to well-known camera devices. As a result, the operator attaches the recording medium 3 to the camera body 1 through the recording medium attachment/detachment port 2, points the lens barrel 4 toward the subject, sets the angle of view with the finder 5, and then presses the release operator 6. Through this operation, the subject image can be recorded in the semiconductor storage element of the recording medium 3 as digital data. Then, the subject image is stored as digital data on the recording medium 3. The recording medium 3 is taken out from the camera body 1, mounted on a playback device, and viewed through a television receiver. The next requirement for such a still image recording system is to organically connect the recording medium with the electronic still camera device and playback device, and to realize reliable data transmission and reception. The goal is to configure each part so that it can be used. Such objects include recording medium connection devices for electrically connecting recording media to electronic still camera devices and playback devices. That is, as shown in FIG. 4, such a conventional recording medium connecting device has a connecting section in which a plurality of connecting holes 7a are arranged at one end of the recording medium 3 and are electrically connected to a semiconductor memory element or the like. 7 is provided. On the other hand, a data processing device (not shown) such as an electronic still camera device or a playback device into which the recording medium 3 is inserted is provided with a well-known connection connector, and this connector has a connection pin that is connected to the connection hole 7a. It is provided accordingly. As a result, the recording medium 3
By inserting the connecting portion 7 into the connector and inserting the connecting pin of the connector into the connecting hole 7a, electrical connection with the data processing device is established. However, since the storage medium connection device described above has a structure in which the connection hole 7a of the storage medium 3 is directly exposed to the outside world, when the storage medium 3 is removed from the data processing device, the connection portion is There is a risk that dirt or debris may enter the connection hole 7a of No. 7 and cause poor contact during connection. For this reason, there are problems in how to store the recording medium 3 in the detached state, as well as how to handle it. (Problems to be Solved by the Invention) As described in detail above, in the conventional recording medium connecting device, dust and debris may enter the connection hole of the connection portion of the recording medium.
There was also a risk of poor contact. The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a recording medium connecting device that has a simple configuration, protects the connection hole of the recording medium, and realizes a highly reliable connection. purpose. [Structure of the Invention] (Means for Solving the Problems) The present invention provides a card-shaped recording medium in which a semiconductor memory element is mounted and a connecting portion in which a plurality of connecting holes are arranged at an end thereof, and a first position having a plurality of insertion holes facing the connection hole of the medium, the connection hole being arranged opposite to the insertion hole of the connection portion of the recording medium such that the insertion hole is in a state not facing the connection hole; and the connection hole; a protective member movably provided between a second position facing the first position; a biasing means for urging the protective member to move in the direction of the first position and guiding the protective member to the first position; a connector to which a connection portion for a recording medium is attached, and in which a plurality of connection pins are provided corresponding to the connection hole and connected to a data processing device that transmits and receives data to and from the semiconductor storage element; A drive unit provided on the connector and configured to move the protective member to a second position against the biasing force of the biasing means when the recording medium is attached, to constitute a recording medium connecting device. It is. (Function) According to the above configuration, when the recording medium is detached from the connector, the protection member is guided to the first position, and the surface of the protection member other than the insertion hole faces the connection hole of the connection part. When the protective member is inserted into the connector, the protective member is moved to the second position and faces the insertion hole of the protective member, allowing insertion of the connecting pin of the connector. As a result, the protection member prevents dirt and the like from entering the connection hole of the recording medium when the recording medium is detached from the connector. (Example) Hereinafter, an example of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 shows a storage medium according to an embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 1(a) shows a storage medium 20 inserted into a connector 10.
(b) shows a state in the middle of a connection, and (c) shows a state in which a connection is completed. That is, as shown in FIG. 2, a recording medium 20 on which a semiconductor memory element (not shown) is mounted is provided with a connection portion 21 at one end thereof, and a plurality of connection holes 22 are provided in this connection portion 21.
