The blower structure of an outdoor unit of an air conditioner, which is composed of a compressor, an air heat exchanger, a blower, a control device, etc., is required to have low noise depending on the location where it is installed. In order to meet this demand, improvements have been made to the blades of the blower and the blower casing, and recently, a bell mouth portion has been provided in the vicinity of the blade of the blower casing. For this reason, resins such as moldable plastics have come to be widely used as materials, but since the blower itself becomes part of the rigid body that makes up the main body of the air conditioner, it is particularly weak in terms of strength, which poses a problem. This idea was devised in view of the above circumstances.
In order to increase the strength of the resin blower casing installed on the side plates/pillars and exterior panels of the L-shaped air heat exchanger, the blower casing is installed in the space between the plate fins of the L-shaped air heat exchanger and the blower casing. The rigidity of the blower casing is increased by providing a plurality of recesses in a part of the blower casing so as to make the plate fins of the L-shaped air heat exchanger come into contact with the plate fins.

The gas refrigerant is returned to the air side heat exchanger 10 through a four-way switching valve (not shown).
There, it exchanges heat with air by the blower 2 and condenses to become a high-pressure liquid refrigerant. The condensed refrigerant is depressurized by the expansion valve 15 and goes to the ball valve 11, where it is connected to an indoor unit (not shown), is depressurized again by the throttling device, exchanges heat within the indoor unit, and goes to the ball valve 12. It circulates through the return four-way switching valve to the accumulator 9, and the compressor 6.
Return to In this way, a refrigeration cycle is constructed, and this operation is repeated thereafter.

As explained above, the air conditioner according to this invention consists of pillars attached around the underframe, side plates,
The material of the fan cover of the blower, which is installed on the front panel and above the L-shaped air heat exchanger, is molded from resin such as plastic. A plurality of recesses are formed in the section, and these recesses are brought into contact with the plate fins of the opposing L-shaped air heat exchanger, thereby increasing the strength of the air conditioner body and reducing external loads. It can withstand it well. In addition, since it is made of resin, it is lightweight and inexpensive, and because it can be molded, it has great practical value, such as providing a bending radius around the entire circumference of the bell mouth of the air outlet to reduce the noise generated from the blower. It is large.
