Abstract

PURPOSE:To shorten the operating time of a terminal operator and to reduce the operating load by transmitting the information on the function key explanation to a terminal from a host computer and displaying the function of each function key of a keyboard display part via the terminal. CONSTITUTION:A program 1 of a host computer 100 sends a request of communication to a communication control means 13 via a screen transmission means 11 and a PF key explanation sending means 12. At the same time, the means 13 sends the information to a communication control means 21 of a terminal 200. The means 21 sends the received information to a text analyzing means 22. A text for screen display which is analyzed by the means 22 is sent to a screen display means 23, and a text for display of PF key explanation is sent to a PF key explanation display means 24. The means 24 displays the received text at a PF key display part 26 of the corresponding PF key. Thus the operating time of a terminal operator is shortened and at the same time the operating load is reduced.
