Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 産業上の利用分野 本発明はゴルフ用のアイアンクラブセットに関する。
従来の技術と発明の課題 アイアンクラブセットにおいて、番手の小さいクラブに
は、より長い飛距離を得るため、より少ないバックスピ
ンが望まれ、番手の大きいクラブには、ランを少なくす
るため、より多くのバックスピンが９１まれる。このよ
うなりラブの番手によるバックスピンの多少は、従来は
、番手によるロフト角の大小によって生じるものだけで
あり、十分満足しろるとはいえないものであった。
なお、従来より、アイアンクラブのフェース向には溝を
形成し、ボールとの摩擦を増大させボールに効果的にバ
ックスピンを与えることが行われているが、この溝は、
通常、アイアンクラブセットのすべてのクラブについて
同一形状とされ、バックスピンのｎｔの調節には利用さ
れていない。
そこで、本発明は、各クラブのバックスピンのはを積極
的に調節したアイアンクラブセットを実現することを目
的として案出されたものである。
課題を解決するための手段 本発明は、′アイアンクラブセットの各クラブのフェー
ス面の溝の幅、深さ又は側面の傾斜角を、クラブの番手
が大きくなるにしたがい、順次大きくなるようにしたも
のである。
なお、本発明は、溝の幅のみ、深さのみ、側面の傾斜角
のみを変化させたものはもちろん、これらのうちの任意
の２を組み合わせて用いたものも、あるいはこれらすべ
てを用いたものも含む。
作用 クラブのフェース面の溝は、幅、深さ、側面の傾斜角が
増加すると、ボールとの摩擦を増加させ、バックスピン
の■を増大させる。したがって、この構成により、アイ
アンクラブセット中の番手の小さなりラブでは少ないバ
ックスピンが、番手の大きなりラブでは多くのバックス
ピンがｊ−ｔられる。
実施例 以下、本発明を、図面を参照しつつ実施例について具体
的に説明する。
このアイアンクラブ１０において、フェース面１１には
溝１２．・・・が形成されている。この溝の断面形状は
略台形状であり、具体的には、目端の幅Ｗ、深さＤ、側
面の傾斜角Ａによって決定される。なお、この溝断面形
状は、ルールにより次のように定められている。すなわ
ち、■幅は０．９ｍｍ以下であること、■深さは０．５
ｍｍ以下で。
あること、■」１方に広がる形状であること、■左右対
称形状であること、である。
第１実施例として、幅Ｗのみを変化させたアイアンクラ
ブセットを示す。すなわち、幅Ｗを次表のように設定す
る。

発明は、上記各変化を適宜組み合わせて構成することも
できる。
発明の効果 本発明のアイアンクラブセットは、上述のように、溝の
形状を番手ごとに変化させ、ボールとの摩擦を調節して
いるので、ボールに与えられるバックスピンの量は、ク
ラブの番手によって大きく異なるようになる。したがっ
て、番手の小さいクラブでは、従来よりバックスピンの
Ｉ、ｔは少なくなり、より大きな飛距離が得られ、番手
の大きいクラブでは、バックスピンのｆｉが多くなりラ
ンをより少なくすることができる◇

図面は、本発明を実施するクラブを示し、第１図はクラ
ブのヘッド部分の斜視図、第２図は溝の拡大断面図であ

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 １、複数本のクラブよりなり、各クラブのフェース面に
    溝が形成され、クラブの番手が大きくなるにしたがい、 （イ）この各溝の幅が順次大きくなり、 （ロ）この各溝の深さが順次大きくなり、 又は、 （ハ）この各溝の側面の傾斜角が順次大きくなり、 あるいは、これらの手段を２以上組み合わせて採用し、 ボールとの摩擦が増大するようになったアイアンクラブ
    セット。
