More specifically, the present invention relates to an image forming method that can easily form images using a thermal head installed in a printer connected to a word processor or personal computer, for example. [Prior art and problems to be solved by the invention]
Conventionally, for relatively simple printing of several thousand sheets of flyers, flyers, etc., one of the image recording methods for forming an image is to form the image by bringing the ink supply medium and the recording medium into face-to-face contact. There are known recording methods such as thermal stencil printing. In the recording method, the ink supply medium is generally a material (so-called heat-sensitive stencil) in which a resin layer such as a polyester film is provided on the entire surface of a porous support such as a nonwoven fabric. By imagewise applying heat to the resin layer of the heat-sensitive stencil, perforations are selectively formed in the resin layer in areas corresponding to the print to be formed on the recording medium. Next, by supplying ink to the perforated portions, overlapping a thermal stencil with ink held in the perforated portions and a recording medium, such as paper, and transferring the ink held in the perforated portions to the recording medium, Recording on the recording medium is completed. This type of recording method has the following problems. In other words, when applying heat to the resin layer in the ink supply medium to form a perforation, the resin layer shrinks, causing the perforation to open unexpectedly wide or the edge of the resin layer at the perforation to curl outward. It may go up. As a result, even if the ink held in the perforations in the resin layer is transferred to the recording medium, clear prints or images are not formed, and only prints or images with low resolution are formed. In addition, in such a recording method, it is necessary to use a special material such as the above-mentioned porous support such as nonwoven fabric with a resin layer provided on the entire surface, so it is not possible to form an image very easily. , which also has the problem of increasing costs. This invention was made based on the above circumstances. That is, an object of the present invention is to easily produce high-resolution, clear images in a recording method that forms an image by bringing an ink supply medium and a recording medium into face-to-face contact and moving ink to the recording medium. The objective is to provide an image recording method that can form images. [Means for Solving the Problems 1] The present invention for solving the problems described above involves forming an original image of a hydrophobic substance on the surface of a support having a hydrophilic surface, and then forming an original image of a hydrophobic substance on the hydrophilic region of the support surface. This is an image recording method characterized by adsorbing water-based ink or alcohol-based ink, and then transferring the liquid ink adsorbed to the surface of a support onto a recording medium. [Operation] In the method of the present invention, first, an original image of a hydrophobic substance is formed on the surface of a support having a hydrophilic surface using, for example, an image forming device of OA equipment. As a result, an original plate having an original image formed by a hydrophobic substance on the surface of a hydrophilic support is formed. This R image is different from the image formed by water-based ink or alcohol-based ink transferred to the recording medium.
It can be a negative image, a positive image, a negative mirror image, or a positive mirror image. In any case, the original image formed by the hydrophobic substance is arbitrarily shaped according to the image to be formed on the recording medium. The surface of the original plate is divided into a hydrophilic region and a hydrophobic region due to the formation of the original image. Next, ink is supplied to the surface of the original plate. Since water-based ink and alcohol-based ink are hydrophilic inks, the water-based ink or alcohol-based ink is adsorbed in the hydrophilic region, and the water-based ink or alcohol-based ink is water-repelled in the hydrophobic region. Thereafter, an original plate that absorbs and holds water-based ink or alcohol-based ink is placed on a recording medium, and when the ink is transferred to the recording medium, an image such as a print is formed on the recording medium. As described above, in the method of the present invention, an original image made of a hydrophobic substance is formed on the surface of a support having a hydrophilic surface using, for example, an image forming device of OA equipment, and as a result, a hydrophilic region is formed on the surface of the support. A water-based ink or alcohol-based ink is supplied to an original plate formed with a hydrophobic area, and the water-based ink or alcohol-based ink is adsorbed and held in the hydrophilic area, and the aqueous ink or alcohol-based ink that has been adsorbed and held is Since the image is transferred to the recording medium, there is no need to use special paper made of a porous support such as non-woven fabric with a resin layer provided on the entire surface, as is the case in the past. Moreover, in the present invention, instead of perforating a resin layer on the surface of a porous support using heat as in the conventional method, an original image is formed using a hydrophobic substance on the support surface using an image forming apparatus. In other words,
Since the area that retains the aqueous ink or alcoholic ink to be transferred to the recording medium can be accurately formed using a hydrophobic material, a clear and high-resolution image can be formed on the recording medium. [Example J Next, an example of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. The image forming method in this example includes (1) an original image recording step in which an original image is formed using a hydrophobic substance on a support having a hydrophilic surface; (2) an original image obtained in the original image recording step is coated with an aqueous By supplying ink or alcohol-based ink, the water-based ink or alcohol-based ink is adsorbed and held in the hydrophilic area, and this adsorbed and held water-based ink or alcohol-based ink is transferred to the recording medium. The process consists of an image transfer process that forms an image on the image. The image recording method in this example will be described in detail below in the order of the original image recording step and the image transfer step. Original image recording step In this original image recording step, an original image is formed using a hydrophobic substance on the surface of a support having a hydrophilic surface using an image forming apparatus. The material of the support is not particularly limited as long as it has a hydrophilic surface; it may be formed of a material that itself is a hydrophilic substance, or the surface of a non-hydrophilic material may be treated. The support may be formed by specifically forming a hydrophilic surface.

できる。The support may be porous or non-porous as long as it can adsorb and hold water-based ink or alcohol-based ink in the hydrophilic region on the surface of the support. Examples of porous supports include paper, sheets made of synthetic fibers, supports made of fibers such as felt, and nonwoven fabric. Examples of non-porous supports include films and sheets made of synthetic resin. The shape of the support is preferably flat, such as a sheet, tape, ribbon, or card. Suitable supports include synthetic resin sheets, paper, and the like. Examples of methods for making the surface of a synthetic resin sheet hydrophilic include corona discharge treatment, chromic acid treatment, flame treatment, hot air treatment for oxidation with heated air, ozone/ultraviolet treatment, or coating with hydrophilic resin. .. As an image forming apparatus for forming an original image, two methods can be adopted: a copying machine using toner, a laser beam printer, and a thermal transfer printer. Depending on the type of image forming apparatus, the following forms of original image formation can be cited. -Aspect ■- In this aspect, an original image made of a hydrophobic substance is formed on a thermal transfer recording medium. The thermal transfer recording medium is, for example, as shown in FIG. 2, a support 4 such as a resin film, paper, or metal sheet is coated with a heat-melting substance such as wax, a softening resin such as ethylene-vinyl acetate resin, and a dye. or ink R5 containing coloring materials such as pigments.
The conventional thermal transfer recording medium 6 can be used as is. Using such a thermal transfer recording medium, the ink layer 5 is transferred to the hydrophilic surface of the support by applying heat with a thermal head installed in a printer connected to a word processor or a personal computer, etc. As shown in FIG. 1, for example, a hydrophobic region 3 is formed on the surface of a porous support 2 to obtain an original plate 1. Note that in the original plate 1, the ink layer 5
The surface to which is not adhered is the hydrophilic region 7. here,
Since water-based ink or alcohol-based ink is hydrophilic, the formed hydrophobic area 3 corresponds to the background part of the image to be formed on the recording medium, and the surface of the hydrophilic area 7 of the support 2 corresponds to the image formed on the recording medium. In this sense, it can be said that this original plate 1 forms a negative image of the image to be formed on the recording medium due to the hydrophobic regions 3. In this embodiment, since the hydrophobic region is formed by the heat-melting coloring material layer, the structure of the support is not particularly limited as long as the ink layer can be adhered to it. If this mode is adopted, a commonly available word processor or personal computer is used to determine the hydrophobic region (image to be formed on the recording medium) by operating the keyboard equipped on the computer. (The hydrophobic area can be determined by inputting and then reversing the area.) Using a printer equipped with these, the hydrophobic area can be printed on plain paper with a thermal transfer recording medium, such as an ink ribbon, as a support. It can be easily formed on the surface and an original plate can be easily created. -Aspect 2- In Embodiment 2, for example, as shown in FIG. 3, toner 8 is selectively deposited on a support z whose surface is hydrophilic. As the toner 8, for example, ordinary colored fine particles (toner) used in laser beam printers and copying machines can be used. To selectively adhere the toner 8 onto the support 2, the principle of printing on recording paper of a normal laser printer, copying machine, or liquid crystal printer is used. Next, this adhered toner 8 is fixed on the support z by heating or pressure. As a method of heating the toner 8 to fix it, there are known methods such as a method using a heat roll and a method using a high temperature atmosphere. When the toner 8 is fixed on this support, as shown in FIG. Original version l is obtained. Then, a water-based ink or an alcohol-based ink is adsorbed onto the hydrophilic region formed on the surface of the support. Water-based inks or alcohol-based inks are preferable because they do not use organic solvents, so there is no danger of fire or poisoning caused by organic solvents. An image is created by adsorbing water-based ink or alcohol-based ink to the hydrophilic area of the support, then bringing the original plate that adsorbs the water-based ink or alcohol-based ink into face-to-face contact with the recording medium, and moving the ink to the recording medium. Examples of transfer modes include modes ■ and ■ described below. 1 Embodiment (1) In the image recording step, an image can be formed by a dipping method using a winding roll 11 for winding the original plate 1.

The lower circumferential surface of the roll 11 around which the JX plate 1 is wound is immersed in water-based ink or alcohol-based ink in the ink tank l2, and the roll 11 is rotated to supply the water-based ink or alcohol-based ink to the original plate l. . This winding roll l1 is rotated. Next,
Excess water-based ink or alcohol-based ink is removed using the ink removal member 13, and the water-based or alcohol-based ink is adsorbed onto the hydrophilic region. The recording medium is passed through it while being in contact with the upper circumferential surface of the rotating winding roll.
Then, the water-based ink or alcohol-based ink held on the original plate l is transferred to the recording medium 8, and an image is formed on the recording medium 8. Alternatively, a winding roll for winding the original plate l may be used. 11 and the ink roll 9 can also be used to form an image. For example, as shown in FIG. 6, the original plate 1 is wound around a winding roll 11, and the ink roll 9 is brought into rotational contact with the original plate 1 to supply water-based ink or alcohol-based ink to the original plate 1, and then the excess The original l An image can be formed on the recording medium 8 by bringing them into face-to-face contact with the recording medium 8. One embodiment: After forming a hydrophobic region with a hydrophobic substance on the surface of a porous support, if the porous support contains a water-based ink or an alcohol-based ink, the original plate and the recording medium can be connected. An image can be formed on a recording medium by bringing them into face-to-face contact and causing the ink contained in the support to ooze out. According to this aspect, an image can be formed on the recording medium any number of times by pressing the stamp. C9. Effect #4] According to the present invention, (1) A hydrophobic substance is coated on a support having a hydrophilic surface using a printer or a copying machine of an office equipment such as a word processor or a personal computer that is commonly available. Easily manufacture original plates by forming original images in any shape,
Since printing can be easily performed using this original plate, it is possible to provide a convenient image recording method that can be easily carried out at home or in an office, and (2) it is a convenient image recording method. However, since special paper is not perforated like in conventional heat-sensitive stencils, it does not have the drawbacks that heat-sensitive stencils have, and can easily form clear images with higher resolution than with heat-sensitive stencils. It is possible to provide an image recording method that allows for
