The resin is pressurized so that it flows into every corner of the cavity in a molten state, and as a result, the container is exposed to high temperature and pressure. Therefore, this container is generally made of metal and is usually called a mold.

Therefore, the cost for this becomes extremely high, and a correspondingly large space for storing the molds is required.

In a mold that surrounds a cable connection and extrudes molten insulation material into a space between the cable connection and the connection, the mold is integrally provided with a common outer mold and the reinforcing insulation to be molded. This extrusion mold for cables is characterized by a dual structure with an inner mold that can be replaced to match the shape of the body.

The cables 1a, 1b have insulating layers 2a, 2b shaped like pencil sharpeners, and core wires 3a, 2b.
3b are connected by a conductor sleeve 4. A mold 5 is provided around this connection, and an uncrosslinked polyethylene resin serving as an insulation reinforcement is extruded and injected from an injection pipe 6 into the gap between the cable connection and the mold 5. . Mold 5 is the second
As shown in the figure, it is divided into upper and lower halves in a split-type manner, and is assembled by fitting the divided molds 5 together from both sides of the connection part and fixing them with bolts 7. . The mold 5 has a two-layer structure and can be disassembled into an outer mold 8 and an inner mold 9, and the outer mold 9 has lead,
A buffer member 10 made of a relatively soft metal such as aluminum is attached, and a heater 11 is provided outside the outer mold 9. The inner mold 9 is selected according to the shape of the reinforcing insulator to be formed, and is fitted with the shared outer mold 8 and fixed with assembly bolts 12.

もよい。 In this way, for example, uncrosslinked polyethylene resin is injected into the cavity of the inner mold 9, but the performance of the mold 5 is no inferior to that of a conventional monolithic structure, and the mold 5 is By dividing into layers, the inner mold 9 can be replaced and used as appropriate. Moreover, by heating this mold 5 with the heater 11, the uncrosslinked polyethylene resin can be crosslinked. In this case, since a soft buffer member 10 is interposed between the outer mold 8 and the inner mold 9, when the molds 8 and 9 are tightened together with the assembly bolts 12, the buffer member 10 is easily removed. Since the molds 8 and 9 are brought into close contact with each other, it is possible to improve heat conduction. Note that this buffer member 10 may be omitted depending on the case.

Another advantage is that the cost of the mold is reduced and the storage space for the mold is small.
