Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent an error of a polarity during a mounting operation to printed-circuit board holes by a method wherein a shape of a lead wire on the positive-pole side is made different from that of a lead wire on the negative- pole side. CONSTITUTION:This capacitor is so made as to include the following: a polar capacitor main body 1; a lead wire 2, on the positive-pole side, connected to the capacitor main body 1; a lead wire 3, on the negative-pole side, which is connected to the capacitor main body 1, which is provided with a bent part (a) and whose shape is different from that of the lead wire 2 on the positive-pole side. Accordingly, shapes of printed-circuit board holes 4, 5 into which the lead wire 2 on the positive-pole side and the lead wire 3 on the negative-pole side are inserted in order to mount the capacitor on a printed-circuit board are different. That is to say, the lead wire 2 on the positive-pole side can be inserted into the printed-circuit board hole 4, but it cannot be inserted into the printed-circuit board hole 5 because the bent part (a) exists. Thereby, a mounting direction of the capacitor on the printed-circuit board is only one; it is possible to prevent a mounting error.
