[Detailed description of the invention] This invention relates to a high frequency directional coupler used in communication equipment, television receivers, etc. In particular, the primary winding wound around a ferrite core has an elastic body with open legs. The core is formed into a U-shape, and the core is made of ferrite with two through holes. After inserting the primary winding into the through holes, the legs of the primary winding are stretched while applying elastic strain. The insulating substrate and the primary winding are fixed by inserting it into a hole provided in the insulating substrate or by applying an insulating adhesive to this insertion part, and the insulating substrate and the core are also firmly fixed. This invention relates to a high frequency directional coupler.

High-frequency directional couplers used for leveling output and monitor output detection in television receivers, communication equipment, etc. are usually made by fixing a ferrite core with primary and secondary windings wound on an insulating substrate such as plastic. An example of the circuit diagram is shown in FIG. That is, the insulating substrate 3
A primary winding 1 and a secondary winding 2 are wound around a core 4 fixed above. Recently, communication equipment parts, television receivers, etc. are required to be smaller and more precise, so this high frequency directional coupler also needs to be smaller. Assembling and installation, such as winding the windings, fixing the core to the insulating board, and connecting the wires to other parts, were complicated and required a lot of man-hours.

The present invention uses an elastic conductor as the primary winding of the windings wound around the core, and inserts the primary winding into a hole provided in an insulating substrate under elastic strain. The above object is achieved by using means such as strengthening the fixation between the substrate and the insulating substrate.

Embodiments of the present invention will be described below based on the drawings. FIG. 2 is a perspective view showing the structure of a high frequency directional coupler according to the present invention. In the figure, a core 4 made of ferrite is placed on an insulating substrate 3 made of plastic or the like. A secondary winding 2 is wound around the core 4 through its through hole 4A. The primary winding 1 made of an elastic conductor is a round bar bent into a U shape, with both legs of the U shape open, and its diameter is slightly smaller than the diameter of the through hole 4A. The length of the base is the same as the length of the through hole 4A.

Insulating substrate 3 is inserted by inserting one of the two primary windings 1 into through hole 4A in its center and then inserting it into through hole 3A provided in insulating substrate 3 while closing both legs slightly. Core 4 is fixed to. The diameter of the through hole 3A is slightly larger than the diameter of the primary winding.

FIG. 3 is a diagram showing the dimensions and shape of the primary winding 1 in a free state. The distance between the center lines of both legs at a distance t from the center center line is d 2 ,
The distance between the two through holes 3A is d 1 (see Figure 2)
Then, Δd shown by the following formula is set to a predetermined value within the elastic strain limit of primary winding 1 Δd = d 2 - d 1 , and distance d 1 is set to a value within the limit of elastic strain of primary winding 1. If it is made larger than the length of the base, the primary winding 1 will be fixed in the through hole 3A by its elastic force, and a force will act on the primary winding 1 to press the core 4 to the insulating substrate 3. Therefore, the core 4 is firmly fixed to the insulating substrate 3. Here, the dimension t is the distance between the center line of the through hole 4A of the core 4 and the contact surface of the core 4 against the insulating substrate 3.

The method described above is sufficient for fixing the core 4 and the insulating substrate 3 to each other, but the primary winding 1 and the through hole 3A
By applying an insulating adhesive 5 made of epoxy resin or the like to the fixed portion, the fixing of the two becomes even more reliable.

In this example, the primary winding 1 for the core 4
It is extremely easy to attach the core 4 to the insulating substrate 3, and it is very easy to attach the core 4 to the insulating substrate 3.
The fixation is extremely strong due to the elastic force of the primary winding 1 and, if necessary, the adhesive force of the adhesive 5. Also, for other parts and other boards, etc.
If the primary winding 1 protrudes outside the insulating substrate 3 and its elasticity is utilized in the same way as against the insulating substrate 3,
It can be easily installed, and wiring by soldering etc. can be easily performed.
