[Detailed description of the invention] [Industrial application field] This invention relates to a moisture-in-oil absorbent, and in particular, a moisture-in-oil absorbent with high lint-free properties that removes water that is not dissolved in oil and is in a dispersed state from oil. Regarding water absorbing materials.

It has been widely known that super absorbent materials are effective in removing water from oil. However, at present, it is hardly put into practical use. The main reason for this is that conventional super absorbent materials have poor lint-free properties. In other words, there are refrigeration cycle refrigerants, lubricating oils for vacuum pumps, fuel oils for engines, etc. that require removal of water in oil, but any of these can cause serious trouble if solid impurities are mixed in. Since the system must be lint-free, it has not been put into practical use.

The inventors of the present invention have found that the above-mentioned problems can be solved by completely covering a structure made of a fibrous superabsorbent material with a long fibrous structure, and have completed the present invention.

FIG. 1 is a partially cutaway plan view showing a specific example of the moisture-in-oil absorbent material of the present invention, and FIG. 2 is a sectional view taken along the line 4--4. Among such water-in-oil absorbers with excellent lint-free properties, super water absorbent 2
It is necessary that the fibrous super absorbent material is a fibrous super absorbent material, and that the fibrous super absorbent material is completely covered with the long fiber structure 1. If the superabsorbent material is a polymer powder, even if it is completely covered with a long fiber structure, the polymer will escape from the small gaps between the layers, causing clogging problems in refrigeration machines, engines, etc. Further, if the cover of the super absorbent material is a short fiber structure, problems may occur due to the short fibers used in the cover falling off. As seen in FIGS. 1 and 2, the peripheral edge of the long fiber structure 1 is sewn or glued (3 indicates the stitched or glued portion).

In the present invention, the water-in-oil absorber may have any shape as long as the fibrous superabsorbent material is completely covered with the long fiber structure. For example, it may have a disk shape as shown in FIG. 3, a hexagonal disk shape as shown in FIG. 4, or one with one end bent as shown in FIG. 5 and without adhesive or seam.

The structure of the fibrous superabsorbent material may be a web, a sheet-like material, a woven fabric, a knitted fabric, etc.; however, from the viewpoint of water retention, the structure is a web or sheet that has a loose structure (the web is needle-punched). (e.g., those that have been prepared) are preferred.

In the present invention, long-fiber structures include knitted fabrics, woven fabrics, etc. using synthetic fibers such as polyester, polyamide, and polyacrylonitrile, synthetic fibers such as rayon and cupora rayon, and semi-synthetic fibers such as acetate. Refers to spunbond and other nonwoven fabrics. Among these, spunbond is more preferable in terms of lint-free properties.
