Carpets laid in aisles with heavy foot traffic, such as those in department stores, supermarkets, and airport buildings, wear out within a short period of time, and carpets laid in aisles of golf clubhouses, etc., which are trampled by spike shoes, need to be replaced frequently. The effort and cost required to replace it is enormous. This invention method is suitable for the above-mentioned places.
The purpose is to provide a method for manufacturing a carpet made of rubber and canvas.

What is shown in FIG. 1 is a carpet A made of rubber and canvas manufactured by the method of this invention.
In the perspective view, 1' is the vulcanized rubber surface with a narrow width m, 2' is the canvas part, and 5 is the sheet.
Vulcanized rubber or woven fabric is used for the sheet, and the canvas portion may be raised if necessary.

Next, to explain in detail the manufacturing method of the carpet A shown in FIG. 1, which is made of rubber and canvas according to the present invention, first, as shown in FIG. A plurality of canvases 2, which are intermediate products during tire manufacturing, are polymerized on top.
The raw rubber disc 1 is colored if necessary.

Note that canvas 2, which is an intermediate product in tire manufacturing, is made of twisted yarn 21, which used to be made of cotton, but is now made of synthetic resin, such as nylon fiber, and is made into a cheap material, as shown in Figure 2 (a) and (a). They are placed in parallel and covered with raw rubber 2 2 on both sides.

Furthermore, when the canvases 2 are polymerized, it is preferable that the strands 2 1 of each canvas 2 are diagonally crossed when viewed from above.

Next, on top of the polymerized canvases 2, 2, another colored raw rubber disk 1 is placed on top of the other raw rubber disks 1, which are colored as necessary, and the whole is vulcanized to form a single disk-shaped body a as shown in FIG. 2B.
Then, as shown in FIG. As shown in FIG.
It is made by pasting the rubber surfaces 1' together. If it is desired to raise the canvas portion 2, the canvas portion 2' is raised using a roller 6 on which a number of needles are implanted. Furthermore, if the carpet made by the method of this invention is to be laid on a wooden floor or tile, it is better to use vulcanized rubber for the sheet, but if it is to be laid on concrete, it is better to use a woven cloth to disperse the moisture in the concrete. good.

This invention has a carpet in which narrow canvas parts 2' and vulcanized rubber surfaces 11 ' are arranged in alternating stripes, so it is extremely durable and can be used in passageways with a lot of foot traffic. It is durable, does not leave scratches even when stepped on by things like spike shoes, is not affected by temperature, and is durable against rainwater. Patterns can be created and a decorative effect can be produced as a carpet, and the decorative effect can be further enhanced by coloring the vulcanized rubber surface 1' or the canvas part 2'. Since the product canvas 2 is used, the lines of the twisted threads 2 are beautifully parallel, making the appearance even more beautiful. Also, since a wide disk-shaped body a is made and then shredded, it is efficient. It has the remarkable effect of being able to make a thin rag body b, with almost no processes depending on manual labor, suitable for mass production, and capable of providing carpets at low prices. Note that by raising the canvas portion 2', it can be made to have the feel of woolen fabric.
