When the tip of the wire reaches the tip of the tip 1, the entire periphery of the through-hole 1a will be melted, and in severe cases, the wire 2 will be burned to the tip of the tip 1, making it impossible to continue welding, and welding must be performed again. When doing so, there was also the problem that the chip 1 had to be replaced.

Even if the wire is notched, the wire can be easily separated from the tip by applying a force in the direction of the notch, so there is no problem in feeding the wire during the next welding, and therefore there is no need to replace the tip.

If the notch angle θ is greater than 200 degrees, the wire 2 will seize in the middle of the notch 1c or at the base of the notch 1c, and a large force will be required to separate the wire 2 from the chip 1. Moreover, the effect as a guide is weakened, and the wire cannot be supplied to the targeted welding point, and the stability of the welding current is reduced due to a decrease in the contact area with the wire 2.

。FIG. 5 shows the notch angle θ and the ease with which the chip 1 and the wire 2 can be separated when the wire 2 seizes at the tip of the chip 1. In this case, since the larger the notch angle θ is, the smaller the force is required to separate the wire 2 from the chip 1, the notch angle θ can be said to be 90 degrees to 180 degrees.
また、切欠き長さaは、1閤〜10■が実用的である。Moreover, the notch length a is practically 1 to 10 cm.

The cutout portion 1c is formed of an insulating material. By making the notch 1c of an insulating material, such as ceramics, the wire 2 is prevented from sticking to the notch 1c. As a result, the notch angle θ and the notch length a can be reduced, the guiding effect of the tip 1 is improved, and the stability of the welding current is increased.

The guide surface of the notch portion 1c is a conical surface with an open end. Since the guide surface of the notch 1c is a conical surface, if the wire 2 seizes to the tip of the notch 1c, the degree of welding to the tip is small, and the gap between the wire 2 at the tip is large, so the wire 2 can be removed with an extremely small force. can be separated.
