の冷却水循環経路中に設けた上面開放形のチヤン
バー内に、ワツクスタイプのサーモスタツト弁を
、当該サーモスタツト弁における感温部ケース及
びガイド部の軸線をチヤンバー内への冷却水通路
と直交する方向にすると共に、サーモスタツト弁
における弁座板の外周におけるフランジ部をチヤ
ンバーの上面と冷却水出口付き蓋体との間に挾持
するようにして取付けて成る内燃機関において、
前記チヤンバー内には、当該チヤンバー内への冷
却水通路の開口部と前記サーモスタツト弁との間
の部位に、前記冷却水通路からの冷却水流に対す
る衝突部材を設けたことを特徴とする内燃機関に
おける冷却水用サーモスタツト弁の保護装置。 A wax-type thermostat valve is installed in a top-open chamber provided in the cooling water circulation path from the cooling water jacket in the cylinder head, and the axis of the temperature-sensing part case and guide part of the thermostat valve is cooled into the chamber.
