Conventionally, synthetic resins that can replace inorganic glass have been extensively researched, but they have many drawbacks and have not yet achieved fully satisfactory properties. For example, polymers made from monomers whose main components are methyl methacrylate and diethylene glycol bis(allyl carbonate).

Among the polymerization conditions, temperature particularly affects the properties of the high refractive index resin obtained. Since this temperature condition is influenced by the type and amount of the initiator and the type of monomer composition, it is possible to initiate polymerization within the film at a relatively low temperature and slowly increase the temperature. It is preferable to carry out a so-called tapered two-stage polymerization in which the polymerization is increased and then cured at a high temperature at the end of the ii polymerization. Like temperature, polymerization time also varies depending on various factors, so it is preferable to determine the optimal time according to these conditions in advance, but in general, conditions should be selected so that polymerization is completed in 2 to 40 hours. is preferred.

This mixed solution was poured into a mold consisting of a glass plate and a gasket made of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, and cast polymerization was performed. Polymerization was carried out using an air oven at 50°C to 9°C.
After 18 hours at 0℃, the temperature was gradually raised to 90℃.
It was held for 2 hours. After completion of polymerization, the mold was taken out from the air oven and allowed to cool, and then the polymer 1 was removed from the glass mold.
