ていた。 BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Conventionally, sheet products having a surface coating layer provided on a fibrous base layer have been used as artificial leather because their texture is similar to natural leather. and,
In order to make such artificial leather look like natural leather, a method is used in which the surface is embossed to give it an uneven pattern. However, since conventional artificial leather has a continuous surface coating layer, even if it is slightly stretched, the surface unevenness disappears and becomes smooth. When such artificial leather is processed into secondary products such as shoes and bags, there will be parts with a smoothed surface that has a so-called vinyl-like appearance, which will greatly reduce the product value. . Furthermore, as mentioned above, conventional artificial leather has a continuous surface coating layer, so its moisture permeability is determined exclusively by the amount of moisture that can pass through the surface coating layer, and the surface coating layer has extremely high permeability. It has the disadvantage that a material with sufficient moisture permeability cannot be obtained unless it is made of a moisture-permeable material.

工皮革の製造法である。 That is, the present invention provides the following steps in the production of artificial leather consisting of an embossed surface coating layer and a base layer:
A base layer of a resin or resin composition that forms cracks by mechanical deformation is applied to the surface of the base layer, and an uneven pattern is formed on the surface by embossing, and a resin or resin that does not cause cracks in the convex portions of the uneven pattern is applied. This is a method for producing a moisture-permeable artificial leather having a clear pattern, which comprises applying a convex portion coating layer of a resin composition and then applying mechanical deformation to form cracks in the concave portions of the concavo-convex pattern.

Moisture permeability and air permeability are improved without any problem, and the cracks exist in a tortoise shell shape surrounding the convex parts, making it appear as if the surface coating layers forming each convex part exist independently. Therefore, even if a secondary product is formed under tension during processing, the elongation stress does not reach all the convexities, so the surface irregularities do not disappear and are clearly formed. It means that it exists.

The base layer is a fiber aggregate such as a non-woven fabric, a woven fabric, or a knitted fabric, or a fabric impregnated with an elastic polymer such as a polyurethane elastomer, natural rubber, or synthetic rubber, or a material that is further impregnated with an elastic polymer such as a polyurethane elastomer, natural rubber, or synthetic rubber on the surface thereof. is a general term for materials provided with a porous layer or a non-porous layer made of an elastic polymer such as synthetic rubber, and in the present invention, any of these may be used, but it is preferable to use a polyurethane elastomer inside the porous layer. A porous layer of polyurethane elastomer is coated on the surface of an entangled nonwoven fabric.

A layer that cracks relatively easily when subjected to embossing or mechanical deformation, such as an elastic polymer such as polyurethane elastomer, synthetic rubber, or natural rubber, with an inorganic or organic filler, preferably an extender pigment. A representative example thereof is a layer made of a resin composition in which 20 to 250% by weight of is added to the elastic polymer. In addition, the convex part coating layer is a layer that covers only the convex parts of the concave-convex pattern caused by embossing, or a layer that mainly covers the convex parts, and this layer does not cause cracks in the convex parts due to embossing or mechanical deformation. Specifically, it is a non-porous layer made of an elastic polymer or a resin composition to which a coloring agent such as a dye or pigment is added. Furthermore, the colored layer that exists between the base layer and the convex part covering layer is for giving the artificial leather a desired color, and usually contains an elastic polymer, coloring agents such as dyes and pigments, and if necessary, the above-mentioned coloring layer. It consists of a resin composition to which a filler such as that described above is added, preferably an extender pigment.

Preferably, the individual protrusions are independent or nearly independent due to cracks. In any case, it is preferable that the cracks exist only in the concave portions, and it is not preferable that the cracks occur in the convex portions as it impairs the glossiness. In the present invention, the overall thickness of the surface coating layer is within the range of 3 to 30 .mu.m, which is preferable in that an appearance, feel, etc. similar to natural leather can be obtained.

When finishing, first, an elastic polymer composition containing fine powder of extender pigment is applied to the surface of the base layer to form a base layer, and then embossing with an uneven pattern is applied under heating, followed by coloring pigment and as necessary. An elastic polymer composition to which an extender pigment was added was applied to form a surface colored layer, and a resin composition to which a colored pigment was added, if necessary, was applied mainly to the convex parts to form a convex part coating layer. There is a method in which cracks are formed in the recesses by applying mechanical deformation such as massaging treatment.

こととなる。 Next, in order to clarify the structure of the artificial leather produced by the method of the present invention, it will be explained with reference to the attached drawings. FIG. 1 shows an example of the artificial leather of the present invention. In the figure, 1 is a base layer made of a fiber aggregate and an elastic polymer, or a base layer with a porous layer of an elastic polymer provided on the surface of the base layer. 2 is a base layer made of a composition of pigment and elastic polymer; 3 is a convex portion formed by embossing; 4 is a concave portion; 5 is a continuous or discontinuous crack; the crack is formed to surround the convex portion. . 6 is a state in which the crack has reached the base layer, and 7 is a convex portion covering layer that reinforces the convex portion. Figure 2 is an example of conventional artificial leather, with 10
1 is a base layer, 12 is a colored resin layer, 13 is a resin layer, 1
4 is a convex portion formed by embossing, and 15 is a concave portion. This difference in the state of the surface coating layer means that when the surface coating layer is stretched, the uneven pattern clearly exists without disappearing. Furthermore, moisture permeability and air permeability are also improved. In particular, as shown in Figure 1, if at least a portion of the cracks formed in the recesses reach inside the base layer, the breathability and moisture permeability of the artificial leather will further increase, and A clearer uneven pattern that does not disappear can be obtained.

On one side of this base layer, a composition solution containing 3% by weight of polyurethane and 40% by weight of fine silica powder relative to the polyurethane is applied by spraying in an amount of about 70g/m 2 , dried and then lowered. Formed geological strata. Next, embossing was performed at a temperature of 120° C. using an embossing plate having a large number of circular concave portions each having a diameter of 1 mm, thereby imparting an uneven pattern to the substrate surface. Furthermore, a 5% by weight solution of a coloring composition of polyurethane to which a white pigment and fine silica powder have been added is applied to the surface by a spray method.
A colored layer was formed by coating in an amount of 100 g/m 2 . Next, a nitrocellulose lacquer prepared by adding white pigment to thinner and non-blushing thinner was applied to the convex portions and dried to form a convex portion coating layer. When the artificial leather obtained in this way was subjected to mechanical kneading treatment, thin cracks were generated discontinuously in the concave parts surrounding the convex parts, and most of them reached inside the base layer.
